for now unfortunately they just Bought the F35s :V so i don’t think it’s gonna happen in the near future

Still not enough data for them to update the F2A’s FM and the AAM-4/3 behaviors ?

Bruh… fucking 8 years ago!?! what you mean “Just Baught”

Maybe by “just” he meant “only” and not “a short time ago”

Did someone made a suggestion about the ASM3 ? Ithink it would be a great addition, because Gaijin still don’t do anything about the horrible state of anti-ship missiles right now. They added more target, but as my last test, on 6 ASM sent at differents targets in test dirve, a single one hit it’s target, and all of them get closer then for some reason pulls out and goes over the ship then turn left or right to death.
Or they find a new target while turning, then goes for the hit and does the exact same thing, goes over, turn ,… until it hits the water.

Adding a new anti-ship missile won’t fix the others, what we need is actual fixes

I’m not sure if ASM-3 has ground target capabilities but ASM-2B surely would be at least an upgrade in that it has GPS so can use it to hit static SPAA and other targets with it’s huge warhead (provided Gaijin lets you launch it without a lock)?

It has something better than ground targetting capabilities, air targetting capabilities.

So, uh, fun fact: the ASM-3’s seeker is just a modified version of the AAM-4Bs. Sure irl it has target recognition stuff, so it probably wouldnt go after planes. But it technically could so…

900km ARH for japan when gaijin.

who needs Ramjets when you can just toss out Air To Ship Anti Air missiles.

edit:
I didn’t know ASM3 had a Ramjet. :(

Even funnier, i think (? Although dont have stuff to confirm) that the SSM-12 also uses the same seeker. So… Air launched, surface to ship missile, against aircraft. Lmfao.

This reminds me of people using the BUK-M3 to kill tanks.

funny thing…
ASM-3 has GNSS, active radar that can shoot ground targets, and in this
governemental document, it is refered as an anti-radiation missile ?

It would be great and very unique… really hope all those comes in-game, it would be easier against the free SPAA spam

Some pics I found from an album that was sent to me by my cousin.
Don’t have the full context of it outside my guess is that it was at a joint military expo of some kind that happened in 2017-2018.

Spoiler

Enjoy

So, yes and no to it being an anti-radiation missile.

It does not have a passive seeker that actively homes in on targets. What it does do is use the host aircraft’s RWR’s direction finding for targets. Think of it like an actually finished version of what they tried to do for air to air back in 2010~

It wont hit a target just solely by being an ARM, but it will guide the missile to around where the target should be for the missile to engage on its own.

Does the AGM-65 in here imply F-2 was capable of using Mavericks or was it just a general showcase?

Was just about to ask.

I have no idea, I lack the context of these images.
I think they’re just a general showcase of the weaponry that the US and the JASDF use in one place.

I think It’s possible that the F-2 “could” use the AGM-65D and the AGM-88 harm but if that were the case. we’d probably have pictures of those weapon systems equipped on them.
It would be very cool though but I am uncertain they could be used or not.

These pics were taken around 2017 - 2018 and that’s all I know.

I thought I’ve found something interesting to share with you all and maybe there’s someone who could add more context to what I’ve posted.
