Would be interesting if the report is accepted since it is said to be a developers’ decision to not allow RWR to pick up any other signals besides fire-control radars.
That’s specifically for detection, not for threat profiling. I’m fine with leaving it how it is where it still needs the radar signal, but imo it should use the other information for threat profiling, since it technically has the ability to, and that’s what RWR groupings are based on.
But can’t have threat profiling without the detection no?
IRL yes, but due to how threats are profiled in game you can just make the profile specific to that vehicle, even if others share the radar.
i thought the F-2 was looking a bit different than that, it also seems a bit small for a pilot to fit in /s
Could have made spoilers mate, few pics taking whole post chain lol
does japan use aim-120D ?
Heard they do have aim-120C-8 that came with F-35.
They have also procured AIM-120D-3 via FMS as of last year.
is it used on the F-2/f15 ?
Its for F-35A/B
whats the latest amraam f-15j is compatible with?
Could be any from AIM-120B to AIM-120D-3 - AAM-4/B is the main BVRAAM on F-15Js and F-2s.
what will they add/do for japan if they start adding aim120d/pl15/r77m/meteors to other TTs ?
Singapores F-15SG and Indonesian Rafale B F.4 are good options, otherwise there is nothing until Thailand receives Gripen E (wont happen any time soon) or Japan finally builts a F-15JSI.
what does the F-15JSI get over the current f15 in service.
unfortunately the jsi isn’t an advanced eagle, i think all it gets is a irst
F-2 can’t use AIM-120 at all
