The F-2’s radar is “compound eye”. Like the compound eyes of a dragonfly, which are made up of many small eyes, the F-2’s radar is made up of hundreds of ultra-compact radars arranged in a single large radar. By operating each of these radars by computer, the direction and strength of the radio waves can be controlled at will, resulting in a radar that can quickly warn of a wide area and has a much better ability to detect high-speed targets than conventional radars. This also made it possible for the first time to search for targets in the air and on the ground at the same time.周囲への警戒を行いつつ、捕捉した目標の追跡も同時に行うことが可能です。また高高度を高速で移動する航空機と、海上の艦艇など種類の異なる目標を、同時に追跡することができるのも大きな特徴です。
It is capable of simultaneously tracking an acquired target while keeping a watchful eye on the surrounding area. Another major feature is the ability to simultaneously track different types of targets, such as aircraft moving at high altitude and at high speed, and naval vessels at sea.

Looking at the most recent devblog, we could have a chance at the F-2 now? … or it’s just the F-15J MSIP, who knows
I know that leaks and whatnot are a huge rumor mill but there was an F-2 mentioned, fingers crossed it arrives soon™
Although I’d prefer the F-2, I imagine that adding an F-15J MSIP would be a more logical and easier addition. But we can always hope.
Yea, it’s more likely we’ll get an F-15J MSIP along with US and their F-15C MSIP. However, it is possible that we get the F-2 anyway.
Realistically it’ll be something we see after the next update and but I’d expect no later than December.
The F-2 mentioned in the leak was later confirmed by the leaker to be the F-20 and was just a mistake :(
Still hope we get the F-2 soon

AESA have too much, too early for it. I don’t believe it will come sooner then end of the year and even that in good case scenario
