I get the concept - it’s the same thing as SAMs intercepting incoming ATGMs, or helicopters previously being able to spray unguided rockets in the direction of an incoming SAM to prematurely trigger its fuse. Just as ridiculous and unbalanceable as both of those two examples.
Same story with the corresponding mechanics I have seen.
For all three situations, the only obvious solution is to simply delete the ability to intercept ordinance.
Then learn how to notch tf. It is objectively unfair. An F-16 with 6 AMRAAMs has no chance against an SU-30SM2 and I am saying that as the SM2 pilot. Ever since this has been popularized I can just fly head on towards an F-16, shoot down his 6 missiles while I have 4+ left and easily kill him as I just have to stay out of range, since he has nothing left. It also works perfectly well against the Rafale and Eurofighter, though both of them still have the bonkers flight model to rely on, doesn’t change the fact that it is hella braindead.
