Most planes don’t have correct top speeds
Totally fine. However there’s a whole host of FM issues with Typhoon (visit the Brit Typhoon thread) along similar lines. We find the primary sourcing stating X - Gaijin say ‘noooooooo - la la la cannot hear you!’
While the Typhoon we’ve got in the game is good - make no mistake - if Gaijin fixed even half of the outstanding issues with the thing it would be a damn sight better.
Give the Brits a half-decent vehicle and we’ll make it work. Give us something good (cough M61 to Churchill, or TT Abrams) and we can be utterly terrifying…

It isnt just top speed though.
Reported and accepted issues regarding the Typhoon:
- BOL is totally ahistorical and underperforming loads
- STR is too low in most regimes
- ITR is too low
- AESA is missing Large CMs
- Cockpit is a total mess
- Radar (Both CAPTOR-M and CAPTOR-E) are underperforming
- PIRATE is underperforming loads
- A2G is loadout is almost entirely missing
- A2A loadout is far weaker than pretty much everyone else (and everything it has is underperforming, even its 27mm Canon)
- Other P4E upgrades for the AESA
Difficult to report issues:
- Instructor is still a bit buggy
- Too much post-supersonic drag
- MAWS coverage is probably too low
Then missing game features such as:
- One of the best ECM suites of any aircraft currently in-game
So claiming the current EFT performance is somehow “fantasy” and should be weaker, when it should be a lot stronger than it currently is, is just hilarious.
But please sure, pretend that British vehicle = bad vehicle, like the devs do.

Considering it has a secondary ramjet engine that ignites after the inital rocket motor, it most definitely has more range than a missile with only a single stage rocket motor (not even dual-pulse). Especially when you consider the amraam is a medium range missile (its in the name) and the meteor is designed as a very long range missile.

Yes the AIM-120A and B are kinetically inferior to the Meteor, the newer C and D models are not. MDBA started developing the Meteor back when the A and B were the only versions of AMRAAM and their marketing never updated (because that would hurt themselves).
It’s also funny when you realize Meteor only entered service a decade ago despite being in development since the nineties.

Prove the meteor has longer range than aim120d, you can’t. Their marketing doesn’t count lol
They are. The C just gets a 5 inch longer motor section and changes from a boost-sustain to boost only motor. The D-3 gets a still slightly increased motor section as part of the F3R upgrade. The meteor has a ramjet sustainer that keeps it at its top speed for significantly longer
Me when countries with a lower military budget than the country with the largest budget 5x over takes longer to develop something
