Missile counter Missile method is a terrible mechanic for the game

You know what else is advertised with x capability but doesn’t have it ingame…?

I realise this could apply to almost any munition, but for now I’m specifically referring to brimstones.

Anyways, point is, if they can be artificially nerfed in favour of balancing, then so be it

Oh thank god. I was worried you were multipathing. so that is at least one thing going for you then.

But still. 0.1 mach slower is a significant speed difference, and that has a larger impact on effectiveness of A2A missiles than you realise. Both in terms of range and time to target, even the overall amount of energy to deal with a maneuvering target.

Typhoon for example. I rarely fire an AMRAAM below Mach 1.5, because they suck below that kind of speed, and it is a big reason why I dont run any A2G even though I could easily without impacting my A2A fit.

multipathing nerf is brutal it makes aim-54 better because the massive warhead rarely misses even with mutipathers

tycoon is crazy can get to match 1.70 I think pretty quickly

Still waiting for them to reduce the height down to historical levels

Quick no. It hits a brick wall of drag past about 1.1.

It takes ages to build that speed up and every turn bleeds loads.

Its the Rafale that has stupid high alt acceleration and energy retention because it has basically no drag

yea maybe that was it but should the golden eagle be like that if gajin didnt nerf it

iirc, the F-15s might actually be overperforming slightly, not enough that gaijin would address it, because its within the margin error, but yeah, I think they should be sightly worse.

F-15E RMP or F-15EX would help with max speed at high alt.

I’ve read through most of your replies and looked at your statshark. You are negative in the T58 and only even in the Su30MKK. That makes all your opinions irrelevant.

Furthermore, as I already said. It destroys the games balance. Flight performance, countermeasures, the pilots skill all become obsolete. Only important factors are the radar and missile amount in the end.

Also, if you end up in a situation where you have to shoot down fakours, its a skill issue.

rafale needs to be good to survive the next updates when f22 comes they might be mostly equal

womp womp

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen in here that the F-15s are missing somewhere around 30% of their max top end thrust.

Just looked it up. Its ~30% for the strike eagle and ~20% for the rest of the F-15s.

Ive not seen anything for that. Though also not been paying attention, though wouldnt be surprised if its someone confusing the F-15E’s engines with the F-15C’s engines

It’s actually one of the more powerful ones
Simply due to how good it is at taking out SPAAs with brimstones

Main enemies I’ve died to in SQB when playing SM-SV were brimstone throwers or tanks unless I was surrounded by 2-3 aircraft at once

and even then, you have to operate inside 15km, maintaining SAL on a single target, the only thing really going for it is the ability to spam 18 missiles.

No Brimstone 2s
No Spear-3s
basically no ARM worth mentioning
No FnF ATGMs that you can use without airbrakes

Its a shell of what it should be

back when the Typhoon was new, I tried it back then, vs Pantsir S1s, and it took 8 missiles to take out 1x Pantsir S1, and it was an absolute chore, given the ranges, and then ahlf the time the Pantsir survived a direct hit.

Which every CAS plane has to do at top tier?

yea just try notching a mach 5 missile and see what happens they are massive and ez to lock skill issues for not using that to your advantage like I said

Whatever, More food for the rest i guess.

skill issue

you can see it coming from 40km away

Yeah I just looked it up and its not 30% for all.
IRL, the F-15A has ~10,900kgf but in game it has ~8,500kgf.
IRL, the F-15C has ~10,800kgf but in game it gets ~8,400kgf.
IRL, the F-15E has ~13,200kgf but in game it gets ~10,500kgf.
