I would have to see it. You’re saying that if both planes rate at 404 knots that the f4E wins. What is the degrees/second advantage. Is it even enough to make a difference?
The mig bleeds speed but at 7 - 8 g/ 10alpha it holds speed well.
I only have experience with the MiG-21MF and the F-4C and F-4F.
F-4 has better radar hands down, but it’s still a non-PD set. You may get low altitude radar lock but only at very short distances. MiG-21 might as well not have radar, I keep it off at all times.
Better RWR, F-4 wins again, though the one in the MiG-21 is useful enough.
Better missiles, I think R-60s are slightly better than AIM-9Js. AIM-7Es are way better than R-3R but still very much unreliable. I wouldn’t say the F-4 is that superior
The F-4 is slightly superior all things considered. If I had to guess why they’re the same BR, it’s a combination of BR compression and the fact that MiG-21 is easier to use in a dogfight for the average player. People here are saying the Phantom wins in a rate fight but I don’t think the average Joe knows what that even means.

i mean the way I’d win in the mig-21 most of the time, is to super hard pull first turn, deploy landing flaps, force the f-4e to turn hard to avoid my nose, and initiate a low speed flight that the mig-21 usually wins. Ig, if the f-4e manages to avoid the nose that first, second or third turn, and retains enough energy, he could then rate the mig-21 to death. But I’ve never had that happen to me in a mig-21 in a sim match

There’s no logical reason for them to share the same BR other than a strategy by Gaijin to please US mains. The F4E is so superior in all regards to the MF or SMT that it’s not even funny.

9Js have more range than old R60, and the E2 sparrows are actuality amazing at short ranges, they pull and accelerate hard right off the rail and are more reliable than 7F or 7M in my experience.

F-4E has AIM-7E2s which are extremely reliable so long as you have a radar lock. They will even ignore chaff in a lot of instances.

But of course it has to mean that. And if someone somehow manages to down a MiG-21 MF(or SMT) while flying J7D or F-4E: that clearly does not prove the opposite being true.
Also: T-2 and F-111A are criminally over tiered and need to be moved to lower BR…like 4.0 or 3.7 since they are clearly worse than Fw-190F
