If you want to discount people doing well as argument for MiG-29K to remain at its BR, they can discount you doing badly as argument for lowering its BR.

The 29K is useless. Only go for it when you have nothing else left.
Trust me.

Don’t listen to people saying it’s perfectly fine at 13.7. Everything around it is much better in every way.

It would be fine if the 77-1 was added, which would make it somewhat unique.

FM means almost nothing in the 13.3–14.3 bracket.

  3. 64 CM is workable but i wouldn’t even call it “decent”. its more of a knifefighter and you need to be really conservative with its CM to even get there
  4. on paper - it has slow refresh while it has bad presets, only 1 smaller one to get faster cycles - so also no

It feels like you’re judging this thing purely by its statcard. Go and try it out!

I’m loving the flight model, the radar is great and the countermeasures are not a major deal for me rn

Sure, it will also depend on everyone’s playstyle and how you like to approach a match.

The Duellist in the training lobby claims that it can beat an F16A, which may be true (I didn’t test it), but some variables change when you go for a walk in ARB. For example, there is no minimum fuel, the R77 only works reliably at close range and the R73 is only effective in a duel or if you can sneak up on your opponent.

My approach is more defensive, to overcome the initial missile joust where you can’t compete. So I need fuel and CM to stay alive and make an impact afterwards.

Players with a more aggressive playstyle who want to get kills ASAP may take a different approach and need less fuel to get the MIG’s FM working.

But it’s not black and white.

The game does overestimate the MiG-29’s STR by about under 2 degrees, not sure on the exact value.
Still, this shows enough regarding how good the flight model is

You need to get close, overcome the initial missile joust, and therefore use more fuel. You also need to spend some CM on a way to get into the knife fight.

The initial missile joust is easily beaten man, the biggest issue at these BRs is 3rd parties taking you (or the target) out.
As well as team killing
