Dying to it’s 9L’s are a skill issue, they don’t have IRCCM and can be easily flared even in rear aspect by turning off the afterburner and spamming few flares. F-16’s are so overrated, almost nobody dogfights at top tier until late game on equal teams. I’ve been playing that BR bracket for last month and died to F-16A exactly zero times.

Most 12.3s+ have equivalent missiles (21bison’s strength comes from the HMD/RWR/Radar, not from the missiles directly.)
That would probably be because they are using GEN4 AIRFRAMES or at the VERY LEAST a later airframe than a literal mig-21… from the 1950s… it does not do anything well regarding flight at 12.3.

So is dying to a mig-21. It’s almost like there are pros and cons. The F-16 doesn’t have to 9L you, he can just stomp you into paste because he’s an F-16. You can’t dogfight nor run from an F-16.

Remember , after the ARAAM update , non of the soviet top tier jet hold a candle to what the west have and the F16 still by far way better than their Mig29 counterpart

Of course, when you only really played the F-14A these last days you won’t die a lot to F-16As.
However dying to a Bison in an F-14A means you have made some quite interesting gameplay decisions.

He can’t get kill with IR AAM unless it is a R-73 and HMD combo. AIM-9M and it variants are now worthless minecraft arrow and F16A are piss bad
I said overrated, not over tiered. F-16A is fine at 12.3. What I mean that it’s a situational jet, 9L’s are near useless for any aware targets sine they lack IRCCM which is common in this BR range and flight performance only really shines on dogfights which rarely happens.
This, yes! It needs to be 12.7. It’s not good for 13.0 but too good for 12.3.

R-73’s are way more harder to flare than 9L’s, at close range you need to pre flare and it pulls wayyy more G’s and AOA than 9L or 9M’s. Below 1km it’s unflarable, at close side aspect it’s also unflarable. 9L’s are only unflarable at close rear aspect when afterburning and doesn’t pull nowhere near as much.
So you just gonna ignore that the thing still a Mig21 on 12.3 ?
