You can say that the community said NO to auction.
Even on reddit : https://www.reddit.com/r/Warthunder/comments/1igw841/say_no_to_auction_actually_its_only_skins_but/
Who asked for this a skin AUCTION?! For Christ’s sake, this has to be the most useless update ever
The auction is a new way to distribute player-created content. In addition to trophies, we’ll now select a few more pieces of work from those not included in them and release them to the auction in limited edition.
You liar, those “player created content” are not on the live.warthunder.com. So this mean that its only gaijin work. So, all money that are used will on only into your pocket.
It has only been one day… Staff / Devs will want to see more feedback on the matter, but what can help is constructive feedback on how it could be tweaked / adjusted
But, some players may even see things differently over a few days, so lets see how things go… Staff will more than likely respond about the news / feedback all in due time
You know very well that this is biased. The last time there was a vote—regarding the APHE rework—our friends, the kickers, suddenly arrived and massively voted NO, even though there was originally a clear majority in favor of YES.
Also, where is the roadmap?
Instead of focusing on ways to bring in even more money, there are still pending suggestions with strong YES votes that would help expand in-game activities.
For example, the addition of playable aircraft carriers in Enduring Confrontations is something many players have been asking for.
Unfortunately, it seems that developers are prioritizing profit more and more.
Not looking for a fight here but we all know when gaijin say they will look into it, it’s just a cover for themselves until the reaction calm down.
The fact no one told us this was happen no road map no vote nothing. It’s the classic “well if no one asked for then that give us the right to add it.”
Remember when no one asked for India or having to buy C&P vehicles with real money yeah.
A major change like this should have been voted on that way gaijin back is cleared but nope.
Btw hi Pacifica long time no see
It is a Test…
Testing the Auction
To test out the new auction system, we’re offering the first lots dedicated to the Lunar New Year:
So, what I gather from it… is if / When it rolls out, it would involve player made content that was not selected for the Marketplace
Tweak or Adjust…
how about not bringing it to the game at all, its a really bad idea, not good for business
if the game was in a good state, balanced, with bugs that players really care about fixed or at least mentioned regularly, maps fixed/improved, improved game modes, among other things that the game could be much better, i believe the action house wouldnt be a problem.
BUT: bug reports ignored for years, players left in the dark for years, no real changes to game modes, no real changes to maps for years, no real changes that players have been asking for for years (and when they do it, do it poorly) and they still want to add a new way to grab money? im sorry but i think the last thing you will get is constructive feedback
Bug that i need fixed as I play SIM is the Sea Harrier HUD. It has no air to air symbols or radar symbols. Yet a bug report along with the full explanation of it has been accepted for over a year.
Sea Harrier FRS.1 (e) & Sea Harrier FRS.1 completely wrong HUD // Gaijin.net // Issues
Yet we get an auction.
Naval is just slightly flawed and can be fixed. Im hugely in favor of keeping naval, as a player of air, ground and naval myself
there are so many things could be done or working on
yet the developers choose the one which will lead to 99% negative review
just…why?
w h y ?
One thing that is very important to me, and likely many other players as well though is if this could include vehicles?
I think it would be very harmful to lock anything besides optional non-historical cosmetics behind limited numbers in an auction system, where not every player has equal chances of receiving them purely based on how much money they try to “compete” with.
It’s already a debatable topic about old events in general regarding players that just weren’t around, but even then they could’ve been.
With auctions only the top 100 (or whatever selected number) of the players will be able to receive the reward, and not skill or dedication decides, but the thickness of their wallet.
And to add to that the game being rated for ages 12+, that are easily influenced by such artificial scarcity tactics doesn’t help either…
They can put those skins as “legendary” now ahah.
I hope they introduce them as event instead.
It would be a great opportunity for Gaijin to save face and earn some money from those that GE the tasks
Saw they aren’t gone, but my point still stands
If they want, even pure GE camos or an inexpensive pack are less predatory and might even earn them more money than this simply by more people buying.
Maybe add a “free Abrams” style pack to apologize for the auction. The Abrams pack sold well, this could too.
Exactly. that is less scummy for the player,s earns them more money and the artists get their work recongized. a win-win-win scenario
