I still can’t understand, even R2Y2’s stat is so bad, why their win rate still keeps over 55%?
it’s not better than f80a either
Turns decent and only played by good players
Presenting graphs with no statement doesn’t do anybody any good
Compared to only giving baseless conclusions, graphs are enough( Hint: acceleration and turn rate)
You’ll note the acceleration chart says something at high speed. You’ll also note what “energy retention” is, see how theres more nuance? Weird.
Prove it
At 7.7 it’s a competent platform, but at 8.0 you’re facing aircraft that are 20 years more modern. I see no reason to penalize some players just because others don’t know how to play the game.
On paper, the R2Y2 should be 7.7, but I loved playing it even at 8.0 (I only played it at 8.0)
Got 3.0+ KDR with it, and it’s also a fantastic ground pounder. Personally, I’m fine with it there. The main issue is BR compression
yes it’s stupid especially because Gaijin bases BR for aircraft on speed
F3D and R2Y2 is similar design. 1 Is 7.0 and 1 is 8.0 :)) for long time i dont trust gaijin can fix the game anymore, 30mm nerfed, plane is average performance, uptier to the afterburner jet :D. Gaijin logic is u strong i nerf but after that not our problem, maybe u become trash after not our problem
yeah now u get uptier to F86K CL13 :)) how can u play? look back to USA F3D is 7.0? if R2Y2 is 8.0 that thing should be also at 8.0
Why? It has more firepower and as i recall its more maneuverable

I hope this answers your question )))
Alright, now for real. The actual answer is that ~8.0 is filled with noobs. I spaded the R2Y2 V3 yesterday, and it’s insane how many people willingly go out of their way to take head-ons with an R2Y2, and then immediately get blasted by four 30mm cannons. There’s no neuron activation going on at 8.0.
Also: they’re undeniably better than 262s, or F-80As, or whatever else is at 7.0. With the state of countless Mig-15s and F-86As at 8.0, and Su-11 + F2H combo at 7.3, they should also be 7.3.
It is fair to say that Gaijin usually forgot those planes that didn’t gather enough statistical data, and then just used " they are still efficient" as an excuse. And Gaijin knows those Cold War planes, which, around 8.0-8.7, are not good when there are tons of radar SPAAs, but still ignores R2Y2s; even IL28 will be 7.0 and Canberra will be 7.3. There are so many good planes at 8.0 that have better loadouts and better performance; why is it so hard to just adjust the R2Y2s BR? Just because it is deleted? And then still need Japanese players to use props or Kikka to go against those monster CAS and SPAAs? What a joke
they are using the same excuse with the british 12.0 phantoms “they work fine in the statistics”… they arent great and are outmatches by peers of the same BR blatantly but they dont care as they arent slightly overperforming or majorly underperforming
I can’t stand that when they just move Canberra B mk6 to 7.3 and still keep like MB326k to 7.7 in GRB, but can’t just let R2Y2 to 7.7/7.3. That is GRB, not ARB; It is 100% sure that Gaijin already forgot about it, which I have proved on Seafires/Ki100; just need a small amount of players to farm, then the statistical data will drive Gaijin to nerf
i dont agree with really any of the reductions in BR for cas at all this time around.
the canberra shouldnt be seen as a bomber tbh, it was a replacement to the mosquito, its a light bomber/ heavy fighter really.
still wild that it absolutely stamps on a lot of its BR peers
