And while that maybe true (relations wise) their relations as of late afaik has improved vastly and SK makes much much much more sense to fill the needs and gaps of Japan.

Type 10 with APS is literally all we have left basically
Japan has none (potentially one in the near future), Italy has one, China has one, Israel has one, Britain has one, and Sweden has none (if you don’t count other Nordic nations).
America is not short on options for the future.

South Korea fills every single gap that the Japanese ground tree has AND fills our CAS needs.
Yeah, it could work, but the US tree is already massive, and anything SK could offer the US can supply its own version of. The US just shouldn’t get one.
