Major Update "Ninth Wave" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

“If the target starts defensive maneuvers, like performing the classic 3-9 overshoot, it can slip out of the missiles own radar cone”

What? What does a wingline overshoot have to do with defeating a BVR missile? “3-9 line overshoot” is a term used for overshooting your target and passing by their 3 or 9 o’clock, it’s something that applies to dogfighting. It’s not something you perform to defeat a missile, it’s something that happens if an aircraft has too much closure rate during a dogfight and loses offensive position.

Can’t, I’m too busy rewatching this gem of a trailer for the 900th time:

they took the long way of saying just notch bro

They’re not even saying just notch, they’re saying you should defeat an incoming long range ARH missile by forcing the launching aircraft to overshoot you :sob:

Yesterday when I was playing the dev server, there were no functions yet.Perhaps they just simply forgot it.

In Soviet Russia, you notch the target

Which one first?

Andromeda–Milky Way galactic collision

or

A2A missile changes

Andromeda-Milky Way collision, because why change it when you can just fix any issues with newer missile additions as a way to push more content over changes?

I’m just playing the J-10C right now to get the modifications ready so I can quickly get all the spade bonuses into the J-15T, that has made me realize how happy I am with the NCTR changes for the radar display that are releasing tomorrow.

New french tank destroyer?

So… now the soviets have a counter for it. I wonder if we can finally see Brimstones

I’ve asked around and looked myself and even some sources online I’ve read only mention a mockup.

SAAB Viggen AU37; The Duck Down Under - Forgotten Aircraft - Military Matters SAAB Viggen AU37; The Duck Down Under - Forgotten Aircraft - Military Matters

Even this which is actually pretty thorough doesn’t mention the prototypes, just that AU looked at maybe buying the Viggen but neither actually seeing a real model in person or any transaction. This is actually one of my favorite proposed models of aircraft so I was really hoping there might have been a recent finding that the JA37AU had existed outside of a mockup.

The biggest problem is SAAB rarely makes a vehicle that isn’t primarily focused on what they want and the requirements the Aussies wanted seem like they would’ve divulged way too much to warrant anything outside of a mockup.

The Danish got an actual vehicle modified because they had already paid for part of it iirc which is why a real vehicle was used. Additionally given the Viggen was still in development it’s unlikely anything outside of a mockup would’ve been used as the swedish were still deciding on all of its own current proposals for the Viggen

My Dev Server for some reason always looks nicer and more cleaner than the main client (I play at 1440p with max Ray Tracing).

Genuinely the most interesting thing on this update for me is the addition of physics at mudgards and sideskirts for some vehicles; not interested at all in grinding 700k+ RP to unlock and spade vehicles that are basically the same of what we have in game.

Yeah up until the last nvidia updates that brought better manual presets to pc I’d agree, I play 4k and with the added bump moving from K preset to M preset, the live servers are pretty crisp

One day we will have the chain armor tank which destroys weak PC’s when spawning in
