There will be plenty of sources for a bug report to remove it. While I am certain with enough spending the EX could use more than 12 A2A missiles. The Air Force probably sees no value in it. (Justifiably so)
there are plenty of sources to remove far more erroneous things in the game that the developers have taken no action on
whats actually stopping it from using 16 though? it gets completely revised and modernized computers and FCS

but the F-15EX is already integrated with AMRAAM and MRML. they just say 12 because thats the standard “full” a2a loadout for an advanced eagle
Not like theres anything suggesting 12+ missiles is possible in service too. Carrying/ferry capability? Sure But actually firing these missiles is another story.
