exactly there is no value in 12+ A2A missiles when it’s rare for large scale Air to Air engagements it will just be dead weight and a waste of money. I think it was an option provided to the AF from Boeing but not one they chose.

with how standardized all the wiring is i think its possible for it to be already there just largely ignored for the reasons you said

what im really curious about is whether LEGION can go on the dedicated pod hardpoints so you can take a tank even with MRML on the wings or something else like anti-drone APKWS that cant go on the belly
