but the F-15EX is already integrated with AMRAAM and MRML. they just say 12 because thats the standard “full” a2a loadout for an advanced eagle
Not like theres anything suggesting 12+ missiles is possible in service too. Carrying/ferry capability? Sure But actually firing these missiles is another story.

Just a little bit of clarification, it seems that Gaijin has said they would like to give top fighters with ESA, so Kfir wouldn’t suffice in this regard.

“we would like […]” is hardly a promise some people are trying to push as the true narrative.
They wanted, they tried but at the end failed to provide ESA for all nations. Happens

Possibly but nothing seems to show that it does ATM. As I said I don’t think the Air Force sees a value in >12 missiles probably doesn’t even see it on 12. The hard points values will come with A2G.

yeah, 8 AAM with a full strike eagle a2g loadout is pretty useful. or 4 AAM + 2 ARM + full F-15E a2g loadout

exactly there is no value in 12+ A2A missiles when it’s rare for large scale Air to Air engagements it will just be dead weight and a waste of money. I think it was an option provided to the AF from Boeing but not one they chose.
with how standardized all the wiring is i think its possible for it to be already there just largely ignored for the reasons you said
what im really curious about is whether LEGION can go on the dedicated pod hardpoints so you can take a tank even with MRML on the wings or something else like anti-drone APKWS that cant go on the belly
probably because they would have to sacrifice the drop tanks
but there are images for the dual pylon being under the main pylon as well so gaijin will give the 15ex those
