Are you fed up with seeing the most interesting, significant and unique vehicles of said nation being used as cheap ways to convince Timmy to spend his mom’s hard earned cash?
The solution is right here!
The reworked subtree system aims to create a much more fair systems for nations, where no single nation is an easy gap filling solution, but a mutually beneficial system allowing more interesting nations to come to the game while equaling out balance between game factions. The main benefits are:
- No more second class nations; Subtrees get their own separate research trees that can be fleshed out the same way any other nation can, allowing nations to reach their full potential without having the bulk of a nations unique content being limited to the premium section!
- More flexibility; As seen with all factions and their respective research trees, a player can freely choose which to play. This allows players to independently play nations that might otherwise not receive their independent trees. No longer is an independent BeNeLux or India just a dream!
- All the benefits of subtrees; Despite the extensive changes, the benefits of subtrees, such as shared lineups and research are kept in plece. Find out more in the suggestion!
- And the whole concept can still be improved based on player feedback, so any thoughts, criticisms and ideas for improvement are greatly appreciated!
Anyways, I’m always excited to see some more unique low tier aircraft, even if it’s unfortunately limited to a premium. I guess that’s just what you get when you try to cram multiple nations into a barely 1 nation sized research tab…

In all honesty, only 3 of the 8 belgian and 10 Dutch vehicles are of German Origin. In the next update we’ll get another one of German origin (a Dutch leo2A4NL), finally an actual Dutch fully original plane in the Fokker D.XXI-3 with a fully Dutch unique cockpit and an original modification of the Canadian version of the F-5 (different wings, flaps engines, missiles and cockpit). You might call the SABCA/Fokker-built F-104G ‘german’, idk.
I’m not defending Gaijin’s way of implementing the Benelux, it could’ve been far better, like talked about here: Discussion regarding the Netherlands and Belgium getting added to France.
We’re missing so much unique Benelux stuff, and the ones that were added still have a lot of minor mistakes (like wrong cockpits, wrong guns like of the Belgian gladiator, missing of magic II on the 13.0 Belgian F-16, etc.).
And don’t get me mentioned on actual french stuff yeah. At least those additions still came to be, but the pace is painfully slow indeed, just like other nations that aren’t the main 3.

Also:
• Says minor nations are treated as gap filler
• Suggests standalone techtree for minor nations
• More minor nations gets added to that tree to fill gaps
• Full circle.
Cant wait for the “Independent - Minor Nations” techtree Suggestion to be made as a solution.
Just admit you dont want X-Nation to have Y-Minor nation over Z-Reason like everyone else lol.
