object 122TM too, and not only China TT, but I can’t remember.
huh?
I cant remember the name but it was a BAE Prototype intended to replace the Jaguar
Edit found it BAE P110
I am not even trying to argument with you here. I am just politely asking you that if you cry here, at least keep Germany “mainz” out of it since you are yourself 1 nation main, so it’s kinda pathetic to cry about a toy you want by using some imaginary “german mains” as crutch to get what you want. Now shush.
Argentina’s FMA SAIA 90; ditched due to financial problems since late 1980s to present. But yeah, it did planned to use F404 as powerplant
Tea is the best
Just wait for the first protuction series jets. Soon it will be time.
Eurofighter supposedly eats F-15E for breakfast in BFM.
Eurofighters beats most things in WVR combat, even the F-22.
Typhoon vs F-15E is just Tornado F3 vs F-16C in reverse, though far smaller gap.
I could see some buffs coming for the F-15s like BOL, to help, but they’ll just have to find a way to use their BVR strength instead of relying on WVR.
Not a lot else left to be added for quite a few nations, so its either mass C&P of F-18s or nothing at all and personally, whilst I wont mind an F-18C, ending another year with a C&P aircraft would be kinda boring.
It will be here in good time.
Patience is a virtue isn’t it?
Only if there isnt a year long gap like there was last year.
So long as we get some decent aircraft in a decent state in the meantime, it would be fine-ish. Though only if other nations also dont get new top tier aircraft and the top tier remains status quo. SAAF Gripen C is already starting to get be outclassed by the F-15C let alone the upcoming F-15E.
But things like the state of the GR4 leave… concerns… regarding that happening. It went from being one of the strongest pure CAS aircraft to one of the weakest instantly.
I don’t quite get your angle.
War Thunder attempts realism though some countries did not have quite the funsing for military aviation as others.
Therefore some countries such as Germany and Britain for example do have gaps in some places.
How is Gripen lacking compared to F-15 disregarding the lower missile count?
How could one expect to always be equal when that is impossible?
If two pilots from the same air force who each are as skilled as the other, without one having a bad day of course, using the same type modified to the same degree with the same amount of fuel and weaponry starting BFM at equal altitude with other aspects being equal as well have it out “fair and square”.
What precisely is your expectation here?
nop, SAIA 90 concept was only a proposal from Dornier to FMA, based on the TKF 90 development.
During those years, Dornier and FMA were working together on the Pampa. SAIA 90/TKF 90 never took off, as Dornier eventually abandoned the project due to a lack of funding.
When this update will come alive, tomorrow , after tomorrow.?
updates are inanimate objects that cant be alive, itll most likely come out tomorrow
That nations other than the US and USSR remain playable at top tier.
If new aircraft continue to be added for them that continue to push their performance up, then other nations should also get new aircraft that do the same.
If the requirement for the Typhoon to be added is something that can reliably fight it in both WVR and BVR then we are going to be waiting a long time. Both the Rafale and Typhoon can match the F-15C/E in BVR just about and beat it in WVR.
So this expectation that US and USSR must always be top dog is what im challenging
could make the EAP a Dreams come true plane with a Single ADEN
Ehh I would argue on this bit here. “gaps” is subjective in terms of IRL capacity vs contemporaries in choices.
EG we got given planes without amraam only to have them upgraded with amraam later using “proxy weapons” as placeholders, 100% fine, but the reality is that this could have been an option for the UK at least in some situational choices. So instead of getting a foreign plane, the UK could have gotten a domestic 1 with placeholder weapons until the AMRAAM option was ready.
Key example plane would be Hawk 200, I doubt anyone would have been upset getting that instead of the Gripen (or alongside it I guess?) using only skyflash until the AMRAAM update. Sure, on paper its a worse plane due to lack of mach capacity, I doubt people would have been too fussed because they would be getting an obvious UK choice. Or do that with the Sea Harrier using temp skyflash and replaced with AMRAAM later (as iirc happened to the UK Gripens, they got skyflash, and replaced with R-Darter later on?)
While the “gap” would exist ofc, at least there would have been fillers which obviously are designed to fill the fox 3 role. (not touching Tejas ofc)
