Sorry, I’m a little behind being in the US and all, big day yesterday. Update tomorrow?

Indian AESA Shilka would be funny for the UK.

Tungaska on the otherhand i am agaisnt purely because there are other more fitting SPAA that can fit in that br range (Tracked rapier)

No server maintenance was announced, so I guess next week then

Tracked Rapier will be 10.0 or 10.3. Tunguska is 10.7 (Why?)

No, next week.

What will be the GE cost of the F-117?

I mean given the history with sub trees here, I wouldn’t expect it to be any different. Also another reason I’m personally not looking forward to a sub tree and would rather they just add vehicles one by one from whatever suitable nations to fill particular gaps.

Probs about 7k GE

ME262 is 6.6K at 7.0
Su-22M3 is 7.3k at 11.0.

So at 10.0 I guess around 7k

Ah thats great, because I’ve got just about 8k available XD

Thanks

I said BR Range for a reason. And i would throw the tracked rapier into my 10.7 lineup anyways regardless of if it ended up at 10.0/10.3 as thats were all the chally 1s are to begin with.

I just dont want soviet SPAAs in the british line up unless they are actually filling a gap

Yep same, which is why I am annoyed at the OSA addition as they could have and should have added tracked rapier first.

But at the end of the day it is what it is and OSA will suffice for now.

im just not gonna use it out of principle I dont think we should be getting soviet tech even if they have just copied an indian flag onto it

Wasnt really talking about German naming in German service there as we know KWS-Lx was the official naming but “ICE” or “upgraded Phantoms” existed as the easiest way to describe them among allied pilots on various exercises and wargames.

sooo… i dont want to be pesimistic but guys in simple terms the translation to this is NEVER, dont expect to much, we´ll still be without standoff capabilities despite having it IRL.

Quick question on Brimstone.

I see it compared to Hellfire’s functionality alot, but i’m wondering, like Hellfire, is it possible to have multiple missiles in the air at a given moment so that you can hit multiple close by targets by just moving the laser?

Or is it like a second missile stops the first one tracking kinda situation?

The PL-8B isn’t a Python-4 equal, it’s an R-73 equal, with it trading TVC for range.

Yes. You can fire 16x hellfires off at once and they’ll all guide to the same target. As the Apache is hovering, you can fire them off spaced about 3-5 seconds a part and swap targets between impacts. In heli EC, you can use this to clear out the battlefields really quickly.

In the GR4 though, this tactic doesnt work. The GR4 is faster than the Brimstones so they’ll all impact about the same time when rippled off, even with a stagger

Their IOGs work in the exact same manner as well. When fired off towards the target. The IOG will guide the missile close-ish to the target, but not the exact point where it was fired at. Also if the laser is turned on and then turned off again for whatever reason. The IOG doesnt re-enable, the missile just maintains a ballistic flight path

Aye, i’ve got plenty of experience in Apache’s so that’s why i was wondering if it’s a transferrable use case, but i didn’t really take into account GR4 being faster than the missiles.

I’m really coping to try and find useful ways of playing GR4 but man, everything i read and watch just makes me think it’ll be Pantsir food.

Might be fun in Sim at least but even there… hard to argue a use case when all these new GBU-39 carriers can wipe out the ground battles much more effectively. Destroying the convoys sort of feels like it’s only niche. Would much prefer Brimstones in this format on a GR9 tbh.
