Major Update "Firebirds" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

You probably will stay high or just before a contrail appears and try to stay behind your team since you’ll have to play as a support fighter. In air RB trying to dogfight with the bus chassis it is just doesnt work and youll be too slow to fight after 1 turn. In sim it might be okay but then the RWR will be a major disadvantage. All and all i expect it to be a pretty underwhelming vehicle. Maybe gaijin will finally see once again how compressed everything is considering the J8F, JA37Di, and KWS (other 13.0 ARH with multi channel) shouldn’t be at the same BR.

Gaijin would put the D up to 12.7 if it got HMD knowing them. I already have a severe disdain for the viggen so id rather they not add HMD if it could result in it going up. Idk, 3 missiles busses in a row on a TT isnt really all that exciting imo

J-8F could potentially be 13.3 with PL-5EII or more realistically PL-8B. KWS seems okay at 13.0, and the Di, I am not sure, maybe AIM-9LI for it as well.

They denied Aim 9Li so no its stuck with Aim 9l, i dont think the Di is better than most other 13.0 ARH slingers just for the fact that it can only fire 1 missile at a time and has a bad RWR, it might be okay in sim but we’ll see

Honestly the way I see it is this:
Major Nations get fed on a silver platter due to money and “player count” for the big fixes

Minor Nations get nothing due to not as much money, same for player count.

But Gaijin should be taking the player count into consideration, there’s a reason why MINOR Nations are called MINOR.

Heres another view on it as an example.

There’s 500 US mains, 250 vote for a bug fix, Gaijin says yes.

Now let’s say there’s 150 British Mains, 75 vote for bug fix, Gaijin says no due to “low player count”.

Despite both scenarios being the exact same ratio of “Total Nation Players” : “Bug Fix Players”

Like I said, it’s just an example but it’s how I view the whole player count and bug fix thing

Personally, I think JA37D & JA37Di never equipped HMS and 4th gen infrared Air-to-Air Missile in swedish service it make sense

They tested the HMD with new helmets so yes they can use HMD. As for 9Li, i never said they could use them i stated they shouldn’t get them. You can also see the new helmet with HMD on some of the brochures for the Otis

Also gaijin doesnt care about in service so thats not a decent argument, gaijin has given plenty of vehicles one off upgrades to better the vehicle.

This is unfortunatly the case, but on the other hand we cannot define what what someone mains, even with the rather suboptimal economy, we can grind to top tier with some spending, this means the players who are skilled enough and has enough time and money(arguably, only 2/3 is needed), can perfect multiple trees and play each tree according to their playstyle at each BR.

The APHE changes were pretty significant. Of course, Britain players wanted to see the new APHE spalling. But there are only so much Brit mains that dedicates themselves to the tree, instead of just finishing the grind and going back to what they actually like. I have seen quite some players who has the highest KD in challengers(or other tanks) compared to other MBTs but dislikes them.

Except JA37D & JA37DI Viggen never armed 4th gen infrared Air-to-Air Missile

For JA37Di, it’s the early fighter aircraft 13.0 armed with active radar homing medium-range Air-to-Air Missile.

Yes JA37Di not better another aircraft 13.0 active radar homing medium-range missile

Why do you keep mentioning Aim 9Li, i literally said it shouldn’t get it, it didnt use it so idk why you keep mentioning it.

Yes? Why did you need to tell me what it is i know what it is. Whats your point since you didnt make one.

Again, it doesn’t need to be in service to receive it, gaijin can add it since they did test it and can use it, thats all gaijin cares about.

You have to be stupid man Bismarck was in open sea being chased, nowhere near land

There was ONE SINGLE testbed airframe used for OTIS testing.
No other serial production Viggen was ever used with HMD and not even NVGs either.

One single non-fighter 37 airframe was heavily modified for NVG trials. I’m unsure if it was an AJS, Sk or one of the Spaning models…
The backlighting for every single cockpit dial/switch/button was adjusted down by a lot and the airframe was not safe to fly at night without NVGs anymore, because you wouldn’t be able to see any switches without the use of NVGs. In addition to that, the NVGs used at the time gave really poor depth perception and the air force considered it plain unsafe because you couldn’t see powerlines or treetops at the typical Viggen operating altitudes (AJ/S, SF, Sk models).

yeah, ive noticed from grinding both german and russian ground that its just more fun (even if the team mates are sub optimal) russias 8.3/8.7 is goofy and really fun the BMP 2 being arguably better then any of the british tanks at that BR beside maybe the ZA35

8.3 is a good uk lineup no? za-35, falcon, olifant mk1a and can probably uptier the fox here as well pity rooikat mk1d was moved up a while ago

If that’s the case, allow me to bring up my earlier comment.

I don’t know gajin introduce rank 9 for aircraft toptier in winter major update this year or the first major update next year

But I guess at least 5 aircraft move to early rank 9

Gajin could add the first aircraft pre-order premium rank 9 in 2026 or 2027, maybe 🤔

Arent the december update devblogs starting in like… 2/3 weeks from now?
