Major Update "Firebirds" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

is it too far fatched to think that in this case it would be fair to give the 27SM its better engines?

It’s honestly really depressing the 229 engines are now in the F-15E and I, they provide a beyond unfair amount of power and further perpetuate a meta that was already in the hands of the F-15. The counter to these aircraft would be the Eurofighter, Rafale and J-15, yet where are they? It’s clear gaijin doesn’t understand how powerful being able to hit M2 easily is in ARB.

British mains please read this.

the amount of American mains I have seen complain about German or Russia, Russians complain about Germans or Americans and then how much Germans complain about Americans or Russians crying I feel you should be saying that to them, and even when we do complain we get labelled as “wanting the world” or something else so there really isnt winning

Oh for f-cks sake

“Please stop whining about how your special main is oppressed, people get annoyed with you and stop taking you seriously.”

Nation mains: incoherent barking

Eurofighter and Rafale are closer to being F-22 counterparts than they are to being F-15 ones…

And I don’t know about J-15, but China just got J-10 which many consider to be one of the Top 3 fighters in the game.

Asking for a new top tier aircraft squadron = asking the world
Asking for one of our rightful tech = asking the world

It’s only when us Brit’s moan it’s asking the world when it’s only stuff we want to be fill in, I mean look at the JF-17 from Pakistan a Australian or a Canadian counterpart would fill that gap nicely with,

A. Not taking away anything from out main research tree,
B. Also filling a gap.

ehhh later eurofighters sure, things like blk5s would be far more inline with the game currently having AIM9s and AMRAAMs

Then watch the US mains cry about the Typhoon and wanting the F-22

I just don’t understand why nation mains can’t just focus on their own nations and vehicles instead of spending time berating, insulting and hating each other over jealousy, envy, superiority complex or whatever.

As someone stated above, the endless cycle of Russian, German and American mains hating each other over “whining”, being “handheld by Gaijin”, or “being noobs”; but also the endless cycle of minor nation players showing extreme resentment towards major nations and their players just because they are more numerous (therefore achieving solutions more easily) and have more and better vehicles available in general.

is there a reason you decide to try and hate on british mains?

you might wanna listen to the thing you quote before you try and speak

I’m going to have to side with the “Britsh mains” here, with what I’ve seen.

Any time they complain they get hit with the “Well you should have built/bought something better”
Any time they ask for something they get attacked for “Wanting the world”

The issue isn’t that they are trying hard enough, they’ve tried for years from what I’ve seen only to have it be rejected or get their stuff nerfed instead. It’s the simple fact that failure and negative outcomes had pilled up to a breaking point.

I wonder if it’d be reasonable not to expect AIM-120C on Rank VIII aircraft.

I would love that, man. The ROCAF F-16 is my most favorite of them all, dunno why.

probably due to majors seemingly getting special treatment, and its down to them just having more players, which in turn means more people will flock to the majors because they get this special treatment making it harder for minors to get changes because they have even less players.

I remember it took the tornado thread 5-6 months to get the radar on the F3 changed to one it actually used in service instead of one of the preproduction radars.

It really isn’t special treatment- it’s just the adecuate treatment everyone should get by default. Gaijin just needs something of a push to get it done.

And don’t forget you are taking only a few examples and pretending they are the norm.

Major nations also get neglected in many ways:

1- The Abrams turret ring has been mismodelled since the introduction of the very first tank in the family despite countless bug reports.

2- M1A2 SEPv2’s TUSK II package is still non-removable despite having been acknowledged as an issue since the dev server of the update it was introduced on.

3- M1A2 SEP and SEPv2’s turret are still underperforming in every way…

4- Leopard 2A7V’s armor is artificially nerfed to be worse than the 20 year older export variant of itself.

5- Leopard 2 PSO still hasn’t got its proper hull armor.

6- Leopard 2 PSO still hasn’t got its side internal composites.

7- Leopard 2A7V’s acceleration is still underperforming.

And a long etcetera.

oh yeah no that is why I said seemingly I fully know that the majors have their own problems

just frustrating with the whole brimstone thing that they have been given so many suggestions on how to balance it and they just ignored every single one but then leave the FnF weapons of the F15E and Su34 alone

And this is why I don’t get into these fights. Tho it does help it’s all tech I could care less about as it’s in BRs that I don’t find fun.

I’ve been waiting for the update so I can play the UK Ram II B(and don’t need to touch the fake name Ram II B in the US tree actively anymore(because for some reason names used by the host tree matter more than the operator nation’s name of the vehicle, even if nothing exist about said host nation using that name).

And grind the T77E1 as if I do return to playing US 3.7 I have a good SPAA for it.

Keep in mind it’s two whole different situations.

Asking for F-15E to have the 229 engine instead of the 220 is asking it to have the engine it used historically for the most part instead of just at the beginning.

It’s switching a historical change gor another one. No realism compromises at any rate.

However, asking to alter Brimstone’s historical capabilities in order to fit the game better is a much bigger and complex deal.

Yes, removing one of its modes altogether is as unhistorical as it would be to alter it; but Gaijin doesn’t seem to agree.

It’s very easy to jump on the train of berating “major nation mains” and claiming that Gaijin hates/does not care about minor nations, but… maybe things are a little more nuanced and complicated.

Tornado GR1 though should get the Mk103 engines as the situation is the same
