Same thing they need to do for US, Britain, China, Italy and Israel.
- Fix outstanding bug reports for top tier MBTs (LeClerc should be included in this as well)
- Add a usable top tier SPAA
- Add top tier IFVs/ATGM slingers
Japan is one of 6 nations not doing too well at top tier currently, but they are doing better than Britian, Italy and Israel at the very least in most respects.
in Air, they have the meta aircraft
and none of this is a good reason to give Japan the Yamato on top of their already existing rather insane Rank VI naval line up.

Fair on most points I still think give japan yamato I wont change until actually something is done to fix japan in ground.

I still dont see the connection. Its a bit like saying Britain should get the Typhoon FGR4 with ASRAAM and Meteors next major update because we dont have a WW2 battleship currently

britisn is not actually comparable to israel or japan or italy not in depth of its tree or its ability to field something in areas such as ifvs with atgms and thermals or tanks or anti air etc

ADATS lists 10km with MCLOS guidance
Type 81 lists 11km with IR guidance
I know the IR Seeker has its issues, but for purely hitting something at long range, assuming you can get a lock, then Type 81 would pull ahead,
But neither can compete with the Pantsir or ItO so is largely irrelevant (and then only really the Pantsir is a threat at top tier) Though Type 81 can be upgraded the ADATS cannot.
