Major Update "Firebirds" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

And when has gaijin said no and done it anyway lol

Looking forward to them!
Hope they are more jets, all though the JA37Di is already enough.

Viggen is limited to AIM-9L and 6 missiles so 13.0 makes sense. F-4F however… it has no rights to go lower than 13.3

All of them are presented on dev-server already.

They represent aircraft from this particular squadron and the configuration they were in. It there is a weapon used by the particular aircraft featured in game, you can make a suggestion report for sure yes.

No lmao, I listed the most likely ones off the top of my head haha. I even chimed in on that post the add onto it :)))

Yeah thats why I use it as the last resort tactics. I mainly zoom on full burner striking them before they can strike me back… Just doing what Viggen was designed to do

Oh boy more preorders? Cannot wait to get more unique models of planes and tanks locked behind a paywall

eh honestly the hope I had for this update has kinda drained so ill just pass till gaijin realises the tornado Gr4 isnt as great as they think its gonna be and hopefully buff it

Ah thx for the headsup.
@joshje100 we were just talking about this. The other one(s) probably pre order too then.

I’m sticking to the JA37Di this patch, the others don’t really appeal to me.

Thanks for the reply! Given that it is a squadron responsible for testing, what would the stance be if they for example tested a better RWR, or added Sidewinders, on the Su-22?

I predominantly play ground RB thats where my strike aircraft will be used but yes. More Laser guided bombs are nice, I dont believe Brimstone will have the single shot kill potential and most targets will likely need 2 making the 9 missiles carried only worth 2 kills.

None of them are unique (the jet ones I mean).

no news on the rank 7 premium tank for france then?

Personally, I believe gaijin change plan someday

I guess next USA aircraft pre-order pack rank 8 would be 13.3

I get what you mean but different prototypes provide different standards. Prototype Germany tested was a very early version meant mainly for engine testing while US F-20A is the last prototype before cancellation of the program. Its not the same case as Yak-141 or R-27ER on MiG-29 9.12A. F-20A had no wiring, no controls, no nothing necessary to use AIM-120 and testing of these missiles was only planned to be tested with Proto 4 that never was. Proto 4 would be a completely new aircraft at this point without defined final configuration.

Thats going to be a Hornet or a Super Tomcat

There’s no point until the gap between 9.7 and 11.7 is filled with something in the tech-tree.

Hope it’ll be TT and we get another US rank 8 premium.

I wonder what would be good rank 13.0-13.3 material for the US

The F-20A had the wiring and controls onboard the aircraft (at least in the iteration found ingame, that being the 3rd prototype). The final 2 pieces of the puzzle is that it was capable of mounting said missile given the pylons it had, while also having the wiring to be able to fire them. But again, it would have needed a software update in a very similar regard to how any MiG-29 9.12A would have needed to fire the R-27ER.

ya know, on the topic of proto 4, I wonder if it could ever be added as a “unfinished prototype” in a simple case to the yak-141. However it never flew, so idk.
