Given the situation with the ja-37di, the tomcat could become a premium aircraft, although it all depends on how greedy the gaijin are.
On one hand, I am glad because I can continue playing this Viggen at 11.7 (in SB).
On the other hand it’s completely ridiculous decision, as the only difference between the D and Di is that the Di has cockpit in imperial units. These 2 planes are otherwise identical.
We will have to see if Gaijin will just copy paste the Viggen D cockpit in metric onto the Di or not. Which would be funny (and sad) as hell to charge 70EUR for an imperial version with metric cockpit. xD
Sure would sell though. I think through the US aircraft that wouldnt be overpowered but still be desirable and thats the top of the list. It can do CAS, A2A and It’s an F-14 (not an Iranian one)
Considering i dont think they fixed the german word Kreig being used instead of Krig for the war peace switch i have no hopes that gaijin will actually update the model.
Especially if it’s masquerading as an “RAF” jet in War Thunder
F/A-18A basic from USN ?
F-14D would be researchable vehicle after F-14B
Or might be F-14B Early (before upgraded bombcat) ?
I have a funny (read offensive-ly funny) meme for this, but I would probably get a perma forum ban for it. xD
And your help was very much needed :)
Wouldnt be good enough F/A-18A wasnt certified for AIM 120? this aircraft needs to have an ARHM
F-14D maybe have 2 versions one for the tech tree and one as a premium.
Might have to see about getting a bug report in for this particularly for Gripen.
I meant wiring for AIM-120 specifically.
Well the fact of mounting something means nothing especially considering the missiles in promo photos werent even live missiles but dummies. Also same pylons carry AIM-9L in game so this argument just doesnt hold itself
Its so ugly I love it
Another more simple option for a premium is a reskinned F-14B with some famous squadron livery on it
I’d prefer that honestly, since it doesn’t take away anything unique from the TT
Dev server Di already has D standard cockpit (in Swedish and metric), its just the D thats lacking it rn. I’m honestly fine with it since both can get more or less proper cockpit now.
They had made provisions specifically for the future when adapting the missile. It was very much capable of using said missile if it received the software update, this missile was fully planned to be integrated in the future, however that future never came to be provided the project’s cancellation.
Mounting is a piece of the puzzle, and as you and I have both shown, it was capable of such. The wiring and use of the missile was also present, as I have shown above. I don’t know how you think the fact the pylons intended to use the Aim-120A being able to use the Aim-9 series discredits the ability to mount the missile in anyway, especially when that rail/launcher is made to be compatible with both missiles.
Isnt it suppose to have Mistrals & Mokopa my fellow?
Forgive me for bringing it up, but there’s some parallels to Yak-141 here no? I know it’s a tired talking point, but a valid one still
I called it, though that is exactly what they would do with the viggen Di
I can think about this plane:
The addition of ARH equipped premium F-16 would be cringe imo.
