The main problem we have in game with ir missiles is that rear aspects shots are based on thrust rather than actual engine temp data, this is shown with the f5’s as the temp is far lower than it should due to the temps used being taken from the engine and not the exauhst. We are in desperate need of new parameters for ir sigs of planes to allow for better modeled missiles as i can bet that this is one of the reasons the redtops dont have all aspect rn due to the inability to separate lock range from thrust.
Thrust shouldnt effect the frontal aspect shots, its speed and surface temp which just isnt modeled, or if it is its poorly done.

And they should be better, if we want accuracy. They track good now, but they could track even better.
ALOT of missiles would be fixed, would also make them more consistent as you would no longer need to wait untill 3km to fire frontally against a10s but alos wouldnt be able to fire at f16s out from 7-8km, unless of course the f16 is mach or has full afterburner (which is related to thrust but the fact its afterburning).

tbh not really surprised feels similar to them not wanting to give brimstones dumbed down FnF, but when the dev goes live we can see how they act, from the stat card they can hit a target 20km away in 44 seconds, if they have a 20km range that is

I am hoping for a 336th FS “Rocketeers” skin for the F-15E for GE.
They are a very cool squadron with a lot of history and are usually what people think of when they think of the F-15E in Desert Storm. They have the SJ tail code and are in this famous picture.
Hoping that one day we get the F-16CJ Block 52 with the 157th FS “Swamp Foxes” from the South Carolina Air National Guard, they are in the back of the same famous picture. They’re pretty damn cool and were the first squadron to get the Block 52 in the entire Airforce from what I’m reading as well as the first to get an F-16 for the Air National Guard. Eh, i have to deal with them all the time in my f104s due to how many mirage f1s are at 11.3. But yeah, they need to fix this if we want more complex ir missiles like iir and other such missiles.
