Major Update "Firebirds" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

Considering the problems the swedish air tree has, there isnt much when it comes to actually fun fighters. I mean its taken them literal years to finally fix BOZ or add RB75T to other vehciles on sweden when gaijin also made the swedish Gripen C the only gripen left with AGM 65A’s where the SAAF gripen got AGM 65G for 2 weeks before they changed it. Id agree if it was sweden ground but air is borked in so many areas that id need a book to list the problems that have been ignored, some ground problems too but this topic is about air.

Also while i agree with the F15 engines you’re talking about a nation that gets 2-3 jets everypatch of which they are normally pretty accurate to their irl. Sweden ground can be whatever you want but air is not a place of love, im ready for people to mention the gripen and completely forget the rest of the air tt though.

never

Yet they get a official clarification after even the smallest backlash.

@Smin1080p_WT sorry to ping but I know we wont see mmV missiles on planes or helicopters but do you think we will see them on ground vics like if we were to get the Ajax overwatch? i just think the issues with mmV weapons would massively be negated if they were on a tank

Don’t give me ideas : P

SPICE 250 equivalent Kh-36 Grom-E1 ?

GBU-39/B SDB I on Gripen C after updated dev server

In fact SAAF service JAS39 Gripen C worse than another operators (via swedish, RTAF, HuAF and Czech)

Personally, I’m waiting Finnish F/A-18C MLU 2, especially close air support (CAS) better Gripen C

Service doesnt matter, gaijin gave sweden and saaf gripen missiles for balance and because they can use them. In game the major difference is ARH.

wdym? sweden has the AMRAAM which is probably better then the R-Darter

Hungary also has the same as the swedish gripen when it comes to ARH. Which is what i was mentioning to oom as the ARH is the major difference in game between the saaf gripen and swe version.

and thats bad because?

Wasnt saying it was bad, he just mentioned the irl service, in game the only major difference is ARH.

This is probably just an effect for the trailer, but I really wish Gaijin implemented a very basic FCS system for modern MBTs allowing them to lock on and track targets, possibly even giving a lead.

Everyone say this but it really isn’t true imo the J35s got nerfed into the ground (cant even Cobra without instructor) and we had to wait an extra 2 updates to get our JAS39 C while 2 other nations got it before us, and not to mention Gaijin claims Sweden to be the Scandanavian TT but only gives is finland in the TT and makes Norway and Denkmark premiums only

And there is more but thats just what I remember right now

The trailers and cinematics always show stuff that would be great to see in the game.

With Smin confirming that MFD’s were being worked on I hope we see missing approach screens like this come to the game soon.

Also for MFD TGP targeting from within the cockpit. (I know this is showing the gunners controls which aren’t even modelled properly in-game but hopefully we see this come to the game for all vehicles.)

Sadly, South African Gripen C equipment downgraded from hungary & sweden, and limited 5th gen IR missile IRIS-T

Gajin increase BR to 14.0 next year but before IRIS-T instead AIM-9L & AIM-9M and removed R-Darter

JAS39C EBS HU armed AIM-120C-5 & AIM-120C-7, but in dev server AIM-120A on JAS39C EBS HU

From sweden tech tree Gripen C carry RB 99 in dev server

I might hope gajin increase BR 14.0 for JAS39C EBS HU before AIM-120A replace with AIM-120C-5 & AIM-120C-7, and 14.3 for JAS39 Gripen C before RB 98 instead RB 74 (M)

Cheetah C located before JAS39 Gripen C (SAAF), my guess

And Cheetah C armed R-Darter

I’m hoping they model thermal profiles

Spoiler

and we get the silly Swedish thermal blanket

an actual use for the 2F, TES and OES??? that would be amazing

That 's what I believe the " Leclerc Autotracker " in the files will be for. Right now it 's an exact copy of the " BMP Autotracker " file that all IFV 's use to capture air targets, but since the Leclerc this unused file is named after does not have a similar capability, it 's easier to understand it as a placeholder for when ground-to-ground electro optical locking is implemented sometime later.

I WISH! Hopefully for the December update! (I doubt it would be coming this update at this point).

Whilst I love the look, I personally think it’s better for moving targets to have some difficulty to hit
