Could be an option, definitely for the 141, the Su-39 would be atrocious at that BR and everyone who bought it would probably rage about the change, not worth it imo. The Yak on the other hand gives it an option to be picked over the MiG-29s
As of confronting each other on Dokdo. War thunder involves real life vehicles and hence getting political is inevitable in the discussions.
War thunder has a decent Korean player base, I even fought Korean squadrons in SQB, Gaijin is sure not willing to lose 90% of them by adding Korea to Japan.
Thailand is the most likely option. Its ground, air, heli and bluewater fleet subtree ideas are already passed to the devs. Thailand is also the only Asian country Japan has not committed atrocities to during WW2 and even purchased a good amount of weapons, and hence the sentiments will be much less significant.

Definitely. Yak-141 does not have R-73s and its only edge of having more than 2 R-27ER/ET is nullified by the Su-27. The Yak tree practically ends at the Yak-3U if the 141 doesnt get a decent buff, I suppose.

Higher, honestly. Under no situation should an F-14a early be fighting a Su-27. Not to mention the void between 9.0 and 10.0 where an entire generation of early missile aircraft like the F101, 102, F-86D+, etc are just missing for some reason.
Decompression across the board would only be good for the game

That is correct. However, as far as I was aware(I studied in Korea for a decent time), most of the younger generations, hence, war thunder players, still holds a degree of hatred towards Japan, even in a school which I believe most of the politically right people study. And as we know it, younger generations are where the bulk of war thunder players are.
Gaijin itself will probably be the first one to turn down this idea, they know clearly the player loss and potentially revenue loss is not worth it.
Thailand is less powerful to Korea in terms of most aspects, but they feature a fleet of VT-4s and T-84 Oplots. They also feature the FV107 scimitar, which could be useful for mid-tier Japan as it could work with a second light tank, and BTR-3 which are better BTR-80As than the ones we have in game. However it is unsure if the BTR-3 has ATGMs equipped like Ukranian versions has.
Players of China may be stigmatized by the fact that the VT-4 is going to another tree, but given the fact that China will get it this update, the anger will be a lot less.

F-86D is highly debatable since it lacked guns but AFAIK it was able to carry two Sidewinders
Personally, I would prefer FJ-3M aka navalized upgraded Sabre with Sidewinders

Yak 141 could carry r73 on the outer pylons but not the r27er/et. They er/et are too heavy with the additional booster weight.
I will add on the Kaliningrad K-5s and all the British attempts at making a guided rocket, as well as the Canadian red velvet.

That is why I believe it should receive R-73s. Its flight model is not as good as early MiG-29s, and 2 extra R-27s that are not ET/ER may be a burden in dogfights sometimes.
The shells are not really the problem but rather either the reaload speed (idk what it is in reality but 6s in comparison to the type 10s 5 ) or the armor. Currently the Leclerc has no reliable advantage to exploit. Just like the ariete.
At least a lower br would be nice to see
