That’s absolutely fair though? IS-3 was overperforming heavily in downtiers, just not played much. Jumbo 75 is unfortunate but does match the IS-1/Tiger moving up which are its equals.
I always ask this question with the br change, and after splitting ww2 and post war into separate lines, and then I think if gaijn will make money on it and I think not, so there won’t be such changes
The jumbo 76 does very well at 6.3, I was making a comparison mostly. my point is the panthers armor is roughly the same effectiveness if not more effective with also having 192mm of pen is lower BR than the 76 Jumbo. I don’t think the panthers should go up anymore than they have already, however, I do think the Panthers are better equipped at 6.0 than the jumbo, but both should stay at their new br. and a panther hull down is more effective than the jumbo against SOME tanks. not all, but neither should be facing Things with HEATFS. Ash for weak spots on the jumbo, you can cut through from the front of the tracks if its even slightly angled, also if you’re slightly higher in elevation the panther and even the PZV70 can front pen the jumbo even angled.
BUT, the jumbo is a HEAVY, so it should be able to brawl (referring to the 75 now) and they completed just took away the jumbo being relevant. (had to reply on my main file as they have a limit to replies on that file lmao)
The IS1 and Tiger didn’t deserve the move either, they were good place holders at 5.3, the tiger E doesn’t belong at 6.0 also, that poor thing is about to get stomped.
Again, untrue. Panther has the advantage in the hull, Jumbo has the advantage in the turret.
Only ones the Jumbo can’t easily pen, which are things that the Panther would also get its turret penetrated by as well, so they’re about equal except the fact the Jumbo has way better gun depression and the stabilizer allows easy pop up attacks.
They deserved the move if gaijin’s ultimate plan is to decompress GRB, which it appears they’re doing in a roundabout silly ass way.
you can search for more, as the Jumbo wasn’t even PLANNED to be moved. it only happened after backlash about the panthers. If you search the forum more you can find plenty on it. Just as you can find hate on the Tiger and people wanting IT moved.
i wish it could work, if they do it right it could but they do have to make money somehow.
silly ass way isn’t even the term id use but it does sum it up in a more polite way. The short 75 just doesn’t deserve to be in 5.7, its like shooting marshmallows at someone lmao.
I did search for more, and you know as well as I do that there is nothing more, people aren’t asking for this, stop pretending.
He’s not even a German main.
the thing is, the jumbo is a heavy, the panther isn’t (irl it is tho), so they shouldn’t be compared to one another as they are. The jumbo and the pershing share the same armor values yet the pershing is a medium, hell, tbh id have no issue with their BRs at all if they reclassified them. tbh they need to reclassify afew tanks (looking at you sherman 105, that thing is like a baby jumbo at 3.0 lmao). if the panthers and pershings are heavies in real life then that thing can be a heavy in the game.
Ultimately, they could have decompressed it alot better though. They could have done sooooo much better.
why, what is the difference besides 10sp and different challenge brackets?
The M26 was considered a medium tank irl after a redesignation. It was a Heavy tank during WW2 by USA doctrine and designation
again why does it matter
Panther is a medium irl
All the tigers, all the panthers, the IS-1, the IS-3, the IS-4
The only thing that was untouched was the US 6.7 heavy lineup
“borderline unkillable 6.7s like the Tiger 2H and the Jagdtiger”
Yeah Germany is getting shafted there too
Track and barrel torture is still the name of the game, eventually they’ll move the old 6.7s up but right now if they did that 7.7 would sandwhich that BR range and dominate
At least those tanks are WW2 lol
The Tigers should have stayed where they were at too. They are not as good as Panthers.
It’s pretty funny that gaijin forget to move KV-122 to 5.7, which is the most dangerous vehicle in this BR for Jumbo
Tiger H1 if you know to shoot the cupola, yeah
Tiger E? nah that thing angled can barely be penetrated with 300mm APCR and the spalling going through the mantlet is atrocious
I’m a US main and I almost exclusively play 5.0-5.7 US.
The E doesn’t get around as well as the M4A3 76 or have the stabilizer. It’s gun is also way worse than the Panther, and not much better than the 76mm (it’s arguably worse). Most German players are not good enough to angle correctly fast enough for it to become impenetrable, and if they do, then you can disengage or knock out their barrel and tracks before they line up on you. It would have been fine remaining at 5.7. The H could go up, but I think it also would have been good at 5.3 given it can get penned pretty easily.
Here’s ideally what should have happened:
VK Panther=5.3
Panther D= 5.7
Panther A, G, and F=6.0
Tiger H1=5.3
Tiger E=5.7
Jagpanther=6.3
M4A1, M4A2 76 =5.3
M4A3 76=5.7
M6A1, T1E1= 5.0
M18=5.0
M4A3E2=5.3
M4A3E2 76=6.0
M36= 5.3
M36B2= 6.0
All of this ignores the movement of vehicles at the 4.7-7.7 range
4.7 is now 5.0
5.0 is now 5.3
5.3 is now 5.7
5.7 is now 6.0
6.0 is now 6.3
6.3 is now 6.7
The only bracket that hasn’t been shifted (yet) is the 6.7 heavy tanks, they’re all still there.
7.0 was moved up specifically to fit the new WW2 tanks at 6.0-6.3
IS-3 is now 7.3
There’s just no real reason to complain about the BR changes since after the revision Gaijin decided to actually implement decompression.
WTAF whyy
-No stabilizer/ atrocious gun handling
-easy to kill/dies to MG fire
-longer reload than Shermans
-not much faster than Shermans or Panthers
-terrible profile for uneven terrain
-dies easy to arty and planes
-terrible in CQC maps
-every gun at 4.0 can kill it
-it would still struggle against soviet and german heavy tanks at 5.0.
-at 5.7 the M18 has to face Tiger II (H)s, Jagpanthers, Tiger ii (P)s, and a ton of other very strong heavy and medium tanks
