,

you cant prove you dont like sucking on sweaty feet either. In context of whole burden of proof concept its called “problem of proving a negative”.

If we were in police drama and police accused you of commiting crime, you wouldnt be proving you werent at the crime scene at the time of crime happening; you would be proving where you were at the time of the crime happening.

I wouldnt bring it up if you werent telling lies again. LWR simply does nothing for Air RB outside of someone trolling with Brimstones or APKWs.

9,2km for Praetorian DASS. You need to look up specific MAW sensor, I dont believe theyre all copypaste.

then why european RWRs look so different to american/russian ones? why they can “see” the missile and not just get a pop-up saying “MSL” with a line going for u?

because thats MAW detecting the heat signature of the missile, whenever the MSL pop up on RWR is warning about ARH going terminal.

Red saying it can’t detect the missile is not the same as Grey/white saying there’s no indicated MLWS coverage? cuz it looks the same but with another words xd

when it goes from circle + MSL to just MSL? or that just MSL means the missile is already tracking by itself cuz it’s fox-3?

Dawg the jas39E is 14.0 cause its nerfed af

yeah

why does the european Typhoon’s RWR look so different to the russian Sukhoi’s RWR? it’s cuz the Typhoon has MAW?

cant tell but it can be simply difference of sensor having LoS but not being able to detect approaching missile for whatever reason.

this.

yes outer circle is MAW.

and all the missile drawings in the Typhoon’s RWR is cuz MAW too? or it’s just the european design?
cuz while Su-30SM shows MSL in the RWR, while the Typhoon has little “missile drawings” in the RWR that shows in real time how the missile is approaching.

That is MAW in work.

RWR, or radar warning reciever, is passive system and can only display information if it recieves something - that something being radar waves.

MAW, specifically Praetorian DASS and many others, isnt looking for radar waves but for heat signature, AFAIK in specific wavelengths, that are associated with missile engine heat - no matter whenever they are IR or radar guided.

IIRC There can be also radar based MAWs but we dont have those in game AFAIK.

Su-30 can thus only detect ARHs, but cant detect IR guided missiles.

i already knew it

ok that’s new. i thought MAW was only a system that launched countermesures to whatever it saw coming to it.

does it only look for the engine’s heat signature? cuz in that case it’s as easy as launch the missile far away so the engine burns out all it’s fuel, or does it look for heat in general just like probably the air frictioning the missile’s metal?

automatic CM deployment is part of the MAW but it can be turned off/on while MAW will continue detecting missiles either way. I usually turn off MAW for BVR since it gives lot of false positives when friendlies around you start launching their missiles, and turn it on only in dogfight when I dont have time to constantly check my six.

I dont know for sure but seeing as it detects missiles in BVR jousts as well, id say it detects even the heat generated by friction.
