the new toptier jets must be in a higher BR than the current one.
14.3 with Su-30SM2, Jas 39E, Typhoons (AESA) is extremely chaotic rn, and i don’t wanna know how painful it is for the players of 13.3/13.7 (even in certain but very very rare cases, 13.0).
Gaijin must add 15.3/15.7 so the new planes can use their modern weaponry without any 14.3 player struggling to fight against them.
planes like the F/A-18E could MAYBE stay in 14.3 or move to 14.7/15.0, just for the max speed, but other planes must be in a higher BR: Su-30SM2 being able to crank/Jas 39E finally being able to be completely used for air superiority/Typhoons (AESA) with their new AESA CAPTOR-E also able to crank.
so placeholder till new BR change happens most likely end of this month or possibly even next year
from My own guess and one of the community managers guess.
but I doubt its while they wait for new missiles they definitely will get new ordinance later and go up in BR but were still missing everything they said would be added before we get new missiles let alone the new gen of IR ones.
Either way my personal guess is that they learn from there past mistakes with the GE and assumed it wouldn’t be a big enough buff just yet which is stupid because unlike the F15c GE which they gave a placeholder AESA which is now below average when compared to anything but US derivatives i.e. the F18E and I’m including the F2 just for this, and also extra countermeasure.
This is a personal rant
While the new SM2 gets better engines, better radar that is literally 2 times more ranges and gimbal than its original or any US one, I believe it got the better RWR but I don’t think that matters withing game, same for the Gripen E, J10c which might still get its engines, and lastly the EFT that got a radar that can fully rack comfortably while notching instead of having to perfectly keep the target angled at the edge of the gimbal limit.
tbh and in my very personal opinion, nobody cares about IR missiles cuz it’s very rare to see someone using IR missiles this days.
what i usually see is MICA-EMs and R-77-1s for dogfights since it’s basically impossible to dodge a fox-3 in such a close encounter.
normally i see some typhoons finishing me off with AIM-9M but that’s cuz they wanna farm points.
okay, MAW is nice but lets not pretend that it not having it makes it not the strongest or second strongest in-game depending on the situation or loadout. do hope it gets it though cause it would force them to introduce EPAWSS correctly later on.

yeah but MAW helps sometimes, and LWR is absurdly OP in most cases since it helps to actually see where’s the missile coming from in real time without a dumb beep-beep from a certain direction.
also just like basic logic, Su-30SM2 should have that things since Su-30MKM has it, when the Su-30SM2 (the plane that actually got exported for the malaysians so they can have some good Sukhois in their weaponry) should have MAW and LWR.
what missiles are you fighting that use laser guidance lmao. I’m assuming that your talking about the MAW missile approach ring and yeah its a nice QOL and would be good on earlier Russian jets with their atrocious RWR but you have a digital one it just takes a bit of basic reading skills,(this is not calling you skill issue I’m just wanting to say digital RWR’s pretty much already give this info in a different way.)
i principally hate when nations get OP versions of the same plane the actually original nation has, lacking a lot of technology the ones in other nations actually have.
basically all of them? i see a lot of Eurofighters and Rafales detecting my missiles no matter what missile i launch at them.
they are even able to detect my R-27ET and launch flares before it can actually lock the target correctly.
and im pretty sure that isn’t “situational awareness” cuz who tf is able to perfectly see a R-27ET coming from 5000m over u with a soft lock u can’t actually hear in ur RWR.
that is IR, their maw has IR sensors they can detect all 3 missile types in game. and the brimstone things kinda fair ive seen phycotic tornadoes at 13.0 running around with them lol
Also with situation awareness it kinda is, if you notice a su30 behind and less that 5km away and don’t pay attention then it is, when they fire it would either ping your RWR or wont this tells you if its IR or not and allows you to fire 1 or both countermeasures and evade if your still unsure. to be fair the missile icon makes it pretty easy to see with how long the ER and ET burn for.
what i will say is good is most planes that have MAW have 260 degree coverage which is the only weakness of the su30sm2 it still keeps they poor rwr gaps that 13.0 and 127 older jets have.
don’t ER and ET burn the same since they’re literally the same missile with different seeker? the only difference is the aerodynamic since the ET basically slams it’s IR seeker against the air.
