Ground RB is mixed battles, and probably at some point will get naval in there some how and have coastal bombardments to help the ground team. It is the game you play the game so learn to adapt or if you really dont like it got to arcade battles or a different game. You can spawn SPAA to defend, you can spawn a fighter to take out the helis or planes. Hell at 10.3 i was in my helicopter and got shot down by a WWII plane before i was able to get find something to shoot at. If you just spawn tanks, no spaa, not fighters or anything to help protect the team then you cause your own problem and let the other team fly and bomb you. Today was in my heli got a few kills and someone on the other team spawned a plane shot me down, i then got into my spaa and shot him down. I get killed by KA-50’s doing their base rush at the start of the match, or i get killed by a heli mid match or still get bombed.
There is still ways to break lock from GBU’s and guided missiles. Situational awareness keeps you out of bad trouble, but you will get killed at some point. Most of the people complaining about CAS probably never played SPAA, and never started playing the flying side of the game. If you dont want to spawn a plane or helicopter get better at SPAA and learn to listen for planes and helicopters so you know they are up and a hazard.
Getting into SPAA won’t fix anything in loads of situations, since there are gaping holes in the SPAA tree for multiple countries.
Also, even if you spawn SPAA appropriate for the tier, there’s a high chance you will be outranged by helis and aircraft that are even lower BR than you.
Skill. Issue.
Ground battles are combined arms.
Not tank only, and never will be.
Adapt or die, or go someplace else.

Let’s say I add a mechanic to the game where every 1 minute, you have to hit yourself in the balls, or your team loses 100 tickets. Someone then complains that this isn’t a fun game, because they either have to keep losing, or be miserable to win, and both are bad options.
Can you confirm that your response would be “Well they’re dumb, because they are just straight up refusing to use the tools that the developers have graciously given them to win! Why don’t they just hit themselves in the balls repeatedly”? Or if not, why not?
Assuming I read their blog about night battles correctly, it wouldnt split the player base. If you dont want planes, you would basically opt for the chance of having no planes. Those who want cas will never get a “no cas” battle so they wouldnt have to worry about having a tank only lineup. Both get put into the same mm pool so it wouldnt affect queue times. Just a chance of having no cas if enough people, probably like 16 so they get a full match, in queue want no cas
This is honestly the biggest issue. I would love if gaijin’s next big update was just releasing spaa to fill the holes.
I agree they need to step up the SPAA for everyone. They really need to balance out the tech tree for all nations so its closer to balanced situation.
The amount of potential respawns is what makes GRB great. The best matches come down to a few players on either team slugging it out blow after blow, they’re the closest and most rewarding games.
CAS obviously screws all that up though.
Well I was kind of assuming that the CAS/No CAS option would no more fragment the player base than the side games they sometimes throw in such as the Dune based thing they did a while back.
A No CAS option means that they don’t need to nerf CAS for unhappy customers and despite what I might think everybody is different.
A separate WT spin off for modern tankers or WW2 enthusiasts might be a good idea as everybody must play other games at some point.This is the kind of thing the game needs to breathe new life into it,all the other stuff is just glossing over the issues.
