Limit CAS in RB for each player

dude you are wrong… You admitted in your words and actions that CAS is OP, so you are fighting OP with OP, fire with fire (or playing planes) to which the OP (original poster in this case) called you out on… Accurately… He read your comment just fine… and it was again… accurate.

There is nothing to abuse. This is a lineup based game mode and everybody has access to counters.

I would understand these complaints, if this was a single-spawn gamemode, where players could choose whatever they want as their one spawn, but it isn’t.

That’s like me flexing with my 8 kills in my PE-8 or Lancaster when I fly straight with my eyes closed and both hands tied behind my back, hit the space bar with my tongue and BOOM, that’s difficult.

Yes, being forced to play a whole class of vehicles you don’t like and intentionally didn’t choose the mode for is obviously being kicked in the balls, no matter what the purpose or impact is in game. Meanwhile, your lame response applies equally as well to my example, which you still didn’t answer about.

“If you just kicked yourself in the balls, you’d not lose the tickets, though.” So would you do it to yourself, or not? Are you a tEaM pLaYer?

  • Yes, you’d do it
  • No, you’d not do it but still play and lose
  • Or would you just not play that game at all, because it’s a stupid game idea?

Imagine playing half the game and complaining that people playing the whole game have an advantage. 🤡

Me choosing to play all aspects of the game doesn’t mean I let myself be kicked in the balls.

You refusing to play the game as the devs have intended is like entering a boxing ring with one hand willingly tied behind your back against an unrestricted enemy and afterwards crying in the press interview about how unfair the fight was.

  1. No… CAS mains play half the game too. So let’s try again with your summary: “Imagine playing half the game and complaining that people that play the other half of the game have an advantage for no reason 🤡🤡”

  2. You completely missed the point that nobody ever disagreed playing planes would help them win. The point was that playing planes is like kicking themself in the balls, because they chose not to play air mode for a reason. It’s not HARD to do. It’s BORING and UNFUN to do. So it’s stupid game design. You lose either way, no matter what. That means the devs failed to do their job, not players.

In the question I asked you, one of the aspect of the game IS kicking yourself in the balls to not lost tickets every 60 seconds.

So yes, actually, “You choosing to play all aspects of the game” DOES mean you’d kick yourself in the balls.

Maybe try actually reading comments and understanding the point before replying to them in the future. (Except I think you did and are just being dishonest because you don’t actually have a real argument)

So your answer is you’d kick yourself every 60 seconds, then?

Well…using only a third of the available assets is just castrating yourself, so why do you insist on doing it?

I see you keep refusing to answer because you know you have no argument. I’ll just ask again:

So your answer is you’d kick yourself every 60 seconds, then? Or one of the other two options?

I am not answering that, because your comparison has no connection at all to the game and is pure nonsense.

I am not answering that, because I know I’m wrong and would have to admit it

There is no other logically possible option. The games literally exists, I just invented it. It started right now. It’s a forum game. I’ll declare the winner next week.

You MUST either choose not to play because you think the game I just invented is stupid and unfun OR play it and kick yourself in the balls to win, OR play it and lose because you refuse to do that.

Unless you can name a possible 4th option. (You can’t). All three options reveal your position to be wrong one way or another.

Ok, I will not play the game, because the concept does not feel appealing to me. ;)

I will definitely not play a game that I don’t like and then complain about it not being changed to my personal liking.

Good choice. That’s the most reasonable answer. So similarly, the developers of War Thunder made a game mode that all tankers don’t want to play, because just like you, all options for playing it are dumb and unfun. Either they play and kick themselves in the balls by constantly flying planes when they wanted to play tanks, OR they play and just throw the game. Both suck, so it’s an unappealing, shitty game mode for them.

So Gaijin just made two game modes called “ground” and “air” that BOTH only appeal to airplane pilots, and thus are throwing half of their revenue they could make in the trash by taking a product that could already, tomorrow, appeal to 2 populations of customers, and only selling it to 1 for literally no reason.

Or they would be. Except luckily, there is a way to play almost-only ground mode, which is called arcade ground, and there’s a reason it’s almost 4x more popular than realistic ground https://archive.ph/89mMA That reason is primarily CAS being heavily nerfed there.

But it should be removed entirely, especially when Gaijin already has overwhelming evidence that it’s so much more popular when they go in that direction. I have no idea why they’re still flushing some of their money down the drain by not going the rest of the way. Maybe some executive that likes planes torpedoing the company for personal preference? shrug I mean they’re making profit, but less than they could for really no reason.

If it is so terrible and everyone hates it, then why are my queue times rarely above 10 seconds?
Why would every player do what they hate?
Are they that stupid? Or is it just your perception and you just assume that no opinion besides yours is valid?

Queue times were like 10 seconds in my matches when I first joined years ago, too, in both AB and RB. Despite Steam charts showing there were like 20% as many players back then.

Queue times are inherently pretty trash to rely on, they don’t anywhere close to linearly change with player counts. Match counts, obviously, do. When you have the hugely superior data of match counts available as linked above, there is zero reason to try and use queue time other than as a coping mechanism.

Why would every player do what they hate?

Easy: They don’t. Again, it’s 3.5x-4x less popular than the mode where CAS mains can’t operate. And a bunch of the remaining people who do play it are… CAS mains themselves. If we (conservatively) estimate that CAS mains are let’s say half the Ground RB players, for sake of argument, then the number of tanker mains that play Ground RB would be only about 4.5% of the active playerbase.

Unless you intended to refer to 4.5% of players as “every player”?

And why would anybody who just wants to fly choose GRB over ARB?
The rewards are lower, there is no guarentee that you can fly at all, you have to play something else to get airborne first.

I myself am an example too. I hate CAS, it’s not fun at all, which is why… ta da! I DON’T play groud RB. Look at my stats, I play Ground AB, because no CAS mains.

But it’s a pity, ground RB with its stealth elements and so on WOULD be a really fun mode to play regularly as well, so it’s really too bad that it’s a steaming pile of a mode and that potential is all wasted. For basically no reason. I literally can only come up with “some executive personally likes playing it” as the only logical reason I can come up with, that wasn’t a joke.

There actually is. People who do C&F can leave games (Maps) they don’t like without crew lock

There were people who already answered why they prefer to fly in Ground RB
