SBMM =/= elo
Wins or losses won’t be hard to manipulate
Not to mention don’t actually equate to a player’s skill
I’m the one who played 5 matches??? What do you mean, you’re defending the idea of having people who have finished their games join my games when I can’t even play ranked?
This isnt a game you can exactly “finish”
yea no. I like that this is one of the few games that doesn’t have sbmm. I don’t understand why this is becoming a complaint lately. We all have been there, and we all learned and got better as result.
Now you have played 8.
I mean that you should consider playing the Assault Game Mode. Where you can practice without having experts against you.
What about the other 31 people in the match? It is their game too.
Most of the big shooter games now lean heavily on having sbmm. The people growing up with always having sbmm are not used to a non-sbmm so it appears unfair.
At least that is my theory.
Younger generations have gotten used to participation trophies. They don’t just lose.
yea i guess that is a fair idea. It is still difficult to comprehend that i am now in the group of “older generation” with video games lmao
I guess, but i do not get the appeal of sbmm. Its just not fun or rewarding. 90% of all of your matches are just mid at best. Plus I at least learn better from just jumping off the deep end and going from there. You learn way more from getting clobbered when you stop whining about it and instead look at what your opponent is doing
Given the existence of people who ditch games the moment they get killed once or twice, or have a known skilled player show up on the enemy team and even go as far as report people for “harrassment” for joining lobbies on the enemy team interrupting their “noob farms”…
(it’s super fun to be accidentally on the same side as people as well. You think you joined a fun and competetive lobby that will give constant excitement. Then you notice you’re somehow fighting coordinated 5 mustangs on the A point and none of the 109s you were expecting to fly with you are around. Then you open the scoreboard and see this:
![]()
Each of the departed players have just 1 or 2 deaths in a mode with up to 3 hour long games (usually ends 90 minutes in). Like, it’s one thing to go “I’m tired, I flew for 60 minutes already and need to rest” and sometimes that happens at 1-2 deaths. But having your whole team ditch when they die once? That’s suspicious as all hells.)
I’d say older generations like their barrel shooting too much.
