I’m not going to lie, there’s a touching side to having read this topic and some of the messages (just fall on it now, did’nt read the 1000+ answer…).
As a French main, I found this quote very interesting, because if that’s the case, I must admit that Gaijin is very talented at that.
But it’s not just about recent months/years.
You forget that for many many years, Germany was always among the most favored nations. The number of vehicles you got with each update was just enormous, and I stood by and watched you get handful after handful of cool vehicles, always hoping one day to see the French counterparts coming along (for example your wiesel family, we have several vehicles that could do the same thing just as cool) or just hoping they should just stop offering my tree either nothing or ONE DoA vehicle at every update.)
The number of times Gaijin has told us that they offer you more vehicles because you have more in stock (mainly for the ww2 era at the time), followed by German players mocking us with “your nation just had to build more vehicles!”. Then, as we moved more and more into the cold war/modern era, where we could finally compete with you, well, we are always lagging behind… It’s been years of resentment, really.
Yes, other nations have received your leopards and some of your top vehicles… But your leopards don’t have armor as nerfed as the Leclercs (if only it was only armors). And while almost everyone, including you, has received better APFSDS (enough to pen us anywhere you aim), France hasn’t received a single one since the first Leclerc arrived. So you still have big part immune to us.
You also received first a French heli, before us (and we start now with a worst one, to my eyes), same for VT-1 AA missile taht you never used in service, remember. And your roland (as well as the USA roland) use a French tracking radar, that we still don’t have, on top of a (bug reported years ago) ~40° max of elevation. And don’t even get me started on the DF105.
Anyway, part of me smiles at your “misfortune” (it’s not healthy, I know), because I find that the feeling you are just starting to get recently of your TT being abandoned by Gaijin (which is far from being the case to me), or your own tech going to other TTs and all that sort of thing, is what other nations (including mine) have been experiencing for many years…
But.
From someone who knows your current anger (well placed because it was your TT who stole the techs and get all the “love”, from my point of view) honestly, you have nothing to fear: Germany will always be one of Gaijin’s most successful, most profitable businesses to care, so you can be sure they’ll continue to treat you as if you were Europe’s leading military power.
Just a little example of the difference and that you still count for Gaijin: while you got a sidegrade leo, we got a downgrad Leclerc. Your sidegraded leo offered you “promise” of more leo. Our downgraded Leclerc just give us nothing.
I’m not here to add fuel to the fire, I admit I have a bad resentment that Gaijin has been stirring it up for years, but please understand that in the best case, it’s just a little break to your TTs, and in the worst case… Welcome to the club, but you are not in a bad shape. Each of your TTs can still kickass, your leo are still meta, thanks to Russia you are meta in air with Mig29 ("you could’nt build something yourself ?!") and your navy just got whats looks like an amazing ship, whils you already have some unicorn ships (with the Scharnorst as probably the best ship of the whole game).
