I mean me personally, i don’t want stupid guestimates of the armor, as was with sep, sepv3, i don’t like all the drama around strv122 vs 7v, where logic and common sense died for gaijin and like, there are alternatives to 2a8
Add the 2a6ex, add the 2a7+, definitely gonna be a big boost and with less controversy surrouding the addition, at least that’s my point of view on the matter
I would die for an strv122 but with a 2a6 gun, who’s gonna say no to that ? And it’s gonna be armour even better than on the current HU and 2a7v, how’s that for a tank ?

Ummm, im pretty sure both demo 1 and 2 of ex, are gen 2 thermals for gunner and commander, + germany straight up has a spanish heli in the tech tree, so while i acknowledge the fact that spanish 2E could potentially go to italy as it also has a spanish vrcc(which is an italian vehicle actually), there is an argument to be made about germany receiving the 2E, which would also be gen 2 for both gun and com

Because mirror matches are so “fun”, not a topic for this, but man do i despise mirror matches, leo vs leo vs leo, is the definition of dogshit, just because arietes are pure trash, doesn’t mean we should just give a top end of the line leo to another country, clones aren’t particularly interesting, but what do i know ?
honestly, not too sure on that one myself, but if im being honest, i don’t think it’s even that big of a deal at that point, to have gen 1 gunner and gen 2 commander, it’s just preferential at that point, the tank is still fire.
Well, since there is no spanish sub tree, it can freely go to germany, both ex and spanish cat, can go to germany, basically strengthening the line up to the roof(would love for hel to also go there, but alas, will prolly eventually go to israel), and at the very least spanish Raytheon TIM are both gunner and commander gen2, what’s not to love ?
- The only real difference in turret armour is the area of the turret cheeks directly adjacent to the gun shield being much stronger, but you’ll maybe get shot there once every 10 matches.
- The LFP armour increase is 100% pointless and I’ve never had it make a difference.
- The firepower is identical.
- The gun handling is identical.
- The mobility is worse.
That’s why I find it an extremely marginal upgrade.
The M1A2 Trophy is the variant that actually provides a meaningful upgrade, it also has a better turret than the regular SEP or SEP v2 and it’s got a full anti-BMPT system on the sides of it’s turret.

2A8 is literally just gonna be a 2A7V with Trophy APS, that’s it.
I fail to see how that would prevent Gaijin from implementing it.
Besides, I also don’t see why the 2A8 would be argued about more than a 2A7V, Challenger 2 or Abrams.

To be fair, you can wiggle/turn your turrt now when getting shot without risking your flat cheeks just getting lolpenned.
I have had too many bad experiences with trophy as a system to trust it ever again in this game.
So I’ll gladly take the SEPv3 over the M1A2 trophy any day of the week.
I am not looking forward to convincing gajin that eurothrophy has higher attack angles and should intercept cas armament more reliable

Maybe unpopular opinion, but I would rather have it as researchable modification for 2A7HU instead for a few reasons:
- it’s unlikely that there would be some other vehicle in the same update if it comes;
- I would rather wait for Italian and Romanian (hopefully) new tanks irl, like KF51 derivatives and Romanian Abrams.

I expect the remaining M1’s to get the same volumetric armour sometime soon, and that means the regular SEP would also get the stronger cheek armour than the Trophy version has:
I’ve been pushed by 3 BMPT’s and a BMD-4 a while back and got three kills + and assist as they all failed to kill me, guaranteed due to Trophy.
Meanwhile, I got frontally one-tapped by the first ATGM a BMPT shot my way in the SEP v3.
Maybe, but again I would rather wait. Top tier lineup is already pretty good for me)
A great possibility to spend resources somewhere else in the TT imao.
I’ve already had trophy just let multiple missiles go through, some that one tapped me as a result.
No weird angles, no weird obstructions, just trophy saying “nope”.
And that is not to even mention the absolute mountain of bad experiences I got from trophy over the last couple years while playing my Merkava and Namer.
It’s probably not a bad system, but I just can’t trust it anymore.

They can be over saturated that is the main issue and having nore akward angles

But even that needs a second to reload
