Larger Maps Need To Be Made For Top Tier Ground. This does not mean only long range engagemnents

Large Tunisia sucks really bad. The map is too open and large. This is just my opinion of course.

Good post. Sands of Tunisia is a great map for higher tiers.

You can play on the right side and there is cover everywhere. On the left it is a bit more open, but if they centralized the spawn points behind the center of the map instead of the flanks I think it wouldn’t be as bad as you wouldn’t get caught in the spawns as soon as the match begins.

You won’t get caught in spawn as long as you don’t do the dumb thing and immediately try to position to snipe into the enemy spawn - it’s basically mutually assured destruction. Or rather: who’s got the better long range vehicles. If you wait 10 seconds (I know, horrible… :P) until people are engaged you can pretty much moonwalk your way right out of spawn by going to the sides, and in all spawns you will find terrain that will allow you to get at least to the middle of your side of the map without being spotted or shot at, if that’s what you want to do.

It just takes a while. And I think for a lot of people that utterly hate the map, that’s where the problem is. It’s not that it’s a bad map, they just don’t want to think or spend more than 10 seconds driving before pew pew happens.

Well, it does depend on which side of the map you are on. One side has a spawn where you basically have to go out into the open to get to the points. The other has a hill that protects your spawn and provides cover to shoot into the enemy spawn, in addition to having cover to get to the points.
