Yeah. I’m looking forward to a missile that just keeps going and doesn’t stop, and doesn’t flare away unless they cut afterburner (let alone the version that ignores all my limited flares anyways)!
see there is the difference , the german player is happy about the small improvements, while the russian one wants everything over the top, that is the same reason russian player base complains about not having a mig 29g equivalent

My favourite part about these IRCCM missiles is that after having to cut afterburner and dropping flares you have lost enough energy for the people that follow you to just gun you down
We really need better maps or lower playercounts per match if we keep getting more advanced weapons (and ECM before AMRAAMs drop preferably, but I guess ECM capability doesn’t sell as well as AIM-120s/R-77s/MICAs/whatevers)

I’m not asking for an AIM-9L/M clone, I’m just saying that the utility of a R-73 vs AIM-9M is incredibly overstated. Plus you have HMD now, so why not use AIM-9L/M from less than 1.5km? :)

i was talking about R60Ms, that now with the R73 you can actualy shoot further distances, i play the mig29 as well not the f16

Which with the new FM on the MiG-29 and SMT, means basically do you want to die from a missile, or from another missile? Because you don’t have the speed to turn and dump (basically all your flares) without your afterburner for long.

Dude, I’d love to have the R-73 on the 9.13, but I’m not complaining it’s not there, and I’m not asking for it until they can balance it all out. I’m glad Germany is getting the 29G, even if a tad jealous, lol. We have SMT, it’s all pretty much break-even in my opinion.

I will say it’s a damn travesty to see any MiG-29 with anything less than the missile that was designed for it. But that’s a gaijin problem. They know they could decompress BR’s to the point that we have a full capability 9.12, 9.13, and 29G all balanced at the appropriate BR. Instead, they’re developing the game the way they’ve chosen.
There’s no way the MiG-29 doesn’t get R-73’s at some point. That’s like not putting tires on a corvette. It’s just going to be whenever they decide it should be. So for now I’ll wait.
I’m honestly not going to flip out until I see how they approach the Su-27. It’s literally the only plane I want at this point, and I really don’t want them to botch it they way they could.
