the german MiGs were modifed from GDR 9.12A to NATO standard G by MiG in Russia, they also got a full maintenance while they were in Russia and for some reason they updated the software too
maybe they thought they could sell those missiles to Germany or something after all the soviet union was already dissolved by the time

I know what I wrote
and I know they never used R-27E
the modifications were done in a time where just post Soviet Russia had especially good relations to Germany which they kept up until last February

it was a sort of Declaration of Peace, the cold war was just over and both wanted to gain trust from the other side
20 years later it didn’t quite work out that way but the spark was there

Back on topic, I am all for Gaijin taking some liberties with armament provisioning but implementing the exact same plane only .3 a BR higher just for missiles is stupid.
either way, if we go by Theoretical capabilities the 9.12A shouldn’t carry R-27E series missiles but that would require it to be lowered to 11.3 or get R-73 which it could carry IRL
that would make more sense than the semi Historical let’s mix it up thing they did now and it would really add a reason to use the 29G in the first place
it’d be a sort of MiG-23MF vs MLA difference

funny side not btw. some pilots from JG73 complained that they preferred to fly the MiGs over the Tranche 1 Eurofighters that replaced them
Hope they will fix the Leopar 40/70 turret speed and elevation as right now it has just copy and paste Leopard 1 turret and gun speed. This is what the speed of the 40/70 turret suppose to be
