Kings of Battle - Rumor Round-Up and Discussion (Part 2)

Yeah… That is certainly a viable argument

Dont give them any ideas pls

the thing people forget about IR seekers is that they need some kind of coolant most of the time along with a more rounded nose

The rounded nose is the biggest bit. The coolant is typically lightweight iirc but the seekerhead is flat and unaerodynamic

France has significantly less BB potential than the UK, US and Japan and is about on par with Germany, and above Italy.

France has only 5 classes of Dreadnought battleships laid and no battlecruisers whatsoever.

Germany has 8 plus 6 BC’s

Britain has 17 and 9 BC’s

America has 14 Dreadnought Battleships and 2 BC’s

Russia has 6 Dreadnought battleships plus 3 gun BC’s and 1 Missile BC.

Italy has 5 Dreadnought battleship and like France, no Battlecruisers.

It’s not that France isn’t worth it, not at all, just that they have less room for growth.

Just add moar boosters!

for what i’ve read the seeker dome hasnt really affected the aerodynamics of the missile and what affects the missile gets mostly affected only during the launch but since the missile is mostly going at speeds of mach 2.4 it really dosent affect it much

I have no sympathy toward Sweden. They are FAR more well treated than majority of some older nation and got things some could only dream about.

The outlier for this being the firestreak which while not a bad missile, using a snub round nose is better for quality of lock

When taken as a whole. I agree. Only air mains get a small symopathy card from me as an air main myself

Looks like it…

can I get sympathy I am grinding towards the Ariete after completing the heli and air tree for Italy

There’s three versions though right? IR/Lightwave/Radar? Do we know which one it’s using? IR or Lightwave? Are they the same visually and maybe performance wise?

Might be moot if they just add the other types as researchable modules anyway.

what comment I just got on the forums?

Prehaps. though italy enjoyed a short period of time with the Torando ADV at 11.3 not 11.7 in SB, somethign that would be the biggest buff the Tornado F3 could get in SB right now. So, i do have some saltyness from that

Some ships can come in different historical refit. Sure for ww2 era we are not gonna be on par with other with number of ships, but i think we have everything for make an interesting TT.

And if we go more modern, we have nice choices for either coastal or bluewater. That’s why i wonder where go your “futurproof” talk.

Now thats an aircrafts nightmare

Indeed ! No fly zone up this monster :p

Its almost on par with the refits on US cruisers in the 70s as well as the USS longbeach, my beloved cube ship

IR version of the seeker dome creates more drag than the ARH version of the seeker dome. This is not related to the speed of the missile.
