The IR is called Lightwave missile using passive IR and visible light tracking. And the other is radar. The one in the trailer is the lightwave(IR).
I see more what you mean now. France is certainly worth it if you are French, their ships are not bad.
I mean future proofed in terms of sheer numbers, France has less, they would be a smaller TT regardless of how many refits and variations of the same class comes from.
Sure France might not have gaps, but they also might not have lineups, for example at an Iowa level tier you would have the Richelieu and that’s it. Britain might have the Lion, Vanguard, KGV and G-3 all within 0.3 br of each-other
in the reports it says the missile creates more drag when launching it is when reaching speeds over mach 1 when the missile ir dome aerodynamics stops affecting the actualy manouverability and speed of the missile
There was swedish brown cheese in the suggestions a while ago, want that?
And as I mentioned, it’s one example of ships that can come in multiple refits:
1959:
8 x 127 mm anti-aircraft and anti-surface twin turrets
10x 57 mm anti-aircraft twin turrets
1970:
4x Exocet “MM 38” anti-ship missile-launching booms.
2x Masurca medium-range anti-aircraft missile launchers.
6x 57 mm anti-aircraft double mounts.
2x single 100 mm anti-aircraft and anti-surface turrets.
If it is from Norway then sure
Which version of the AMRAAM is that though?
I’d love and hate to see Exocets.
On one hand, fantastic missile and backbone of France’s ASHM base.
On the other hand AFAIK its only operational kills on ships were against British ones.
theyre all bad im afraid, of the 3 id recommend the line that goes down marlborough and hood, i forget which after the tt change they had
Richelieu
Jean Bart (with shitty French AA i guess)
Jean Bart (US refit with quad bofor / 20mm oek)
Jean Bart (French refit with multiple dual 57mm)
Here, 4 ships.
Richelieu is a class, there is not only one ship. Like Dunkerque.
Without talking about cold war/modern coastal that could come near if the game goes in that direction.
Nah i think it was an actual brand of swedish cheese was suggested as a decoration, it picked up some steam for a while then just vanished…
I’m curious about the report. The drag of the missile’s IR seeker is always inevitably higher than the ARH version, and many methods have been developed to mitigate this, for example by putting spikes in front of the IR dome.
I’m failing to see how a 7M with an active seeker would break the game in its current state. They miss non-manoeuvring targets with perfect radar locks all the time at low altitude.
I honestly don’t understand this concern though. It’s not like they’ve locked away the WWII BRs or stop you from playing once you go past it. It’s still there. I have top tier on a few nations and still go back to WWII from time to time.
might be cause Norway is mostly known Brown chesse, i have no clue, tho it would be funny
no clue but I wonder if they will ever consider the experimental funny AIM-7/9 combo, booster from a Sparrow with the seeker of a 9L
Has anyone posted what the top aircraft is yet?
Yeah it could be Norwegian, i just remember seeing it a while ago and saying damn thats some cheese
