But what happens next? We removed Kh38. We removed the pantsir and replace it with a TOR. Now we have f16c, gr7 and similar planes that can easily outrange any spaa in game. And f16c unlike su25sm3 is very capable fighter so it’s much harder to counter it with plane. What do we have to do with them?

The explanation for this is quite simple: Unlike USA, Russia doesn’t has proper multirol aircrafts (like the F-16) until the Su-30. There no alternatives to the Su-25s for CAS.
Why would we want a subsonic airframe instead of the SU24 or literally anything else besides a plane that we had 5 of?
It’s cause USA already has F-14B, so anything else is variety thus low-priority for development.

SAPSAN-E on the SMT and outer pylon Kh29s would have been so much preferable to another SU25, IMO.
they just do not want to add thermal pod to any russian cas mercury that is on su25 should have gen 1 thermals but it does not get it
Mercury is a low light pod, not a photo/ir contrast pod. KHOD is gen 1 thermals.
Su-24 would be variety cause it wouldn’t be superior than Mig-27K, but not inferior to Su-17M4.

Why is IOG relevant when you have guidance well outside of SPAA range? IOG isn’t something to rely on in the first place. I do not understand your fixation with it.
So wait,if that’s the case (which is not,i think),the Su-25T should already be a valid option as a multirole: you have 16×9K127 which are good,you can carry 2-R73s for self-defence and on top of that you have an IRCM on your tail+a lot of CM,making your plane highly survivable against IR SAM (which,in this case,only the Type-81C is the most hard to counter) and survivable against the plethora of SACLOS missiles you’ll go against.
Even the Mig-29SMT,altough it can only carry 2×Kh-29TD+2×KAB-500kr+2×R-73 is still a valid CAS option since you have 4 easy quick kills every time
But no,Russia has no CAS plane even tho they almost have more than the USA so they need to have more )))))))

The SU24M2 with SAPSAN would be very capable, yet still not as good as the F16C.
… You cannot guide the missile to the target point without going inside of 10KM. Did you ignore all else I wrote? Or the Dev stream where they mentioned this? You can launch it beyond 10KM but the laser only guides the missiles when the aircraft is within 10KM.
