No. It was used internally by the system for the coded laser telescope. Was it measured by LRF, was it time based. Idk.

Not that type. 20 targets (10 on the US ADATS) were TWS by the radar.

We must be using different ADATS, I can watch as the SU30/34 ripples off KH38m’s and turns back for base before ever being within my range. Then I have 6 Kh to deal with that I can barely find and if I manage to get a lock on one I loose it instantly.
Best case I can save myself whilst watching my teammates get obliterated and leave the game early.
I know what you mean. There’s currently nothing you can do. Only SPAA which might have the range is also on russian side and keep air space clear for KH-38 jets.

Alpharius, this topic is about Kh-38 not ADATS, and you’re accusing the other party of attempting to derail the topic.
Being correct about ADATS’ elevation doesn’t mean others are being mean.

I mean of you want to go the assymetric balance way why not, but it would require western CAP to be first spawnable, like helis with rockets
You either go the full realistic way and take doctrine into account in game, or KH38 has to be nerfed to reasonable levels for the time being. It can be buffed again once everyone gets long range SAMs

I take it you play GRB and only GRB?
The only one that’s functioning properly is the Igla, and that’s because it has relatively simple systems and a LOT of documentation.

The others have their share of documentation too, developers decided to go guess time instead when it comes to G overload. As for Igla it’s still impacted by the infrared signature of helicopters being all over the place, as any other manpads. Mistral lacks 2 entire variants and stinger has its fair share of issues as well, although i’m less familiar with it
You’re preaching of CAP being first-spawn, play the game mode that openly advertises it.
You either miss the point entirely or are trying to deflect from the core issue : KH38
My point is, the doctrine argument is bad.
Either you balance the game with weaponries of similar capabilities and a sense of balance between different components : IE CAS can attack tanks and SPAA but SPAA would actually be capable of defending against the air threat decently. This currently isn’t the case because of the likes of KH38 and to a lesser extent AASM. The disparity between SPAAs is also laughable (Compare Pantsir to Otomatic for example)
Or you introduce Assymetrical balance by trying to reproduce each countries doctrine, which mind you is a quite large rabithole. In such a case, the SPAAs replacement for western countries would be CAP, meaning western CAP should be cheap enough to be first spawnable, while whoever gets better SPAA can spawn those instead.
Now obviously that would be very unbalanced : i already do it against all Su+KH38 combo by capping a point in a light tank and spawn camping them the entire game, which by some of their reactions they don’t like (the irony). They usually stand no chance against that, which is why doctrinal balance is what i would call a rabbit hole.
Of course non of this discussion matters because Gaijin already stated they are going to add long range SAM sites to everyone, except 2 years late…
