law of the lever. Doesnt need to be a great wieght to create a large counter-balancing force. 1/3 is probably too much, but the imblanace it would create is probably likely quite large
I meant ~1/3 the length of the heli, but yeah point stands
Got no kills with it so far, got missiled and shattered my rotor on some high rise. Missiled again by a Helo somewhere, no score yet.
stay ~8 km from the battlefield, evade when someone shoots a roland at you
But I wanna use Rocket Pods and Machinegun ;/
It’s like 1/6th the length, but there’s a range of articulation the main rotors can do. So you’d have to prove what weight that tail section is, and if losing that exceed rotor articulation limits.
Got a Kill finally. Got Fulda, used far away spawn and climbed, found some Wolfpack AMV, locked on and blasted gun and pods.
Getting a hang of it now, but axed 2 Teammates by accident, those Rocket Pods are wild. Feel so sad about this.
I think this is a cause of how Gaijin model helicopters internal part.(Not just Soviet heli mind you) Most empty space usually isn’t empty space. Every pieice of equipment are there for a reason or two.
Not to mention main rotor damage model and rocket pod or ATGM that would caught fire and explode irl (this also include other aircrafts not just heli)
irl once aircraft got damage. Pilot would have a hard time knowing how much damage was done nor acknowledge which place got hit.
Most common respond would be RTB for check up or crash landing while they still can.
However in WT players would rather keep flying till it crash to the ground or being force to j out.
In my opinion Gaijin should encourage player to try to crash landing or at least make pilot&its crew survive.
For example
- crash landing on anywhere with pilot survive should reduce repair cost by half.
- crash landing on the airbase cost next to none to repair.
- if pilot survive (included bail parachute) +100% bonus Research point for the progress you made in a match with that vehicles.
Or
4) force player to lose any control over firing button once damage indicator show that they’ve been count as kill. But they still can flying around trying to land or bail for pilot safety.
Etc
You’re trying to apply physics to a Russian helicopter.
You just need to understand that:
They are immune to half of the weapons currently contributing to Oyrx’s list of downed Ka-52s. (I was floored by the CM comment on the bug report.)
Explosively losing the back half of your aircraft does not negative affect flight performance.
Engines are immune to direct HE/HEAT hits.
Pilots are immune to overpressure.
They don’t vibrate like a cattletruck on train tracks.
Nobody in the world has any comparable capability to this aircraft.
Sekrit Dokuments, Komrade.
- Gaijin or something I don’t know, probably.
IMO the helis that need re-balancing the most are the Tiger and Z-19
After Ka-50/52? maybe.
The KA-50 has already gotten a massive nerf on its launch window while the Z-19 is still broken. Same with the tiger…
do you have the Tiger UHT?
nope
then you dont have any idea how bad the Tiger UHT actually is
From what ive seen and heard its pretty insane. So unless if you come with any actual arguments or show me proof then i wont believe you…
I can see that you have played a total of 4 battles in it so i dont get how i should listen to you either lmao
