The new addition feels like GJ trying to come up with the lowest amount of effort again to try to appease those playing Japan. They basically took the TKX chassis in-game, then removed some parts of the turret, and artificially limited it to JM33.

Apparently, this was the vehicle that took them so much time and effort to make, that it wasn’t even ready for the two Dev Streams!

This is just like the time they released the copy-paste M47 and P-51 Evalina.

Meanwhile… it still has huge armour holes in its frontal armour, the hull composite is wrong way round, the solid steel area in the hull holding the composite on each side is still modelled at empty vacuum etc, meanwhile Russian tank armour gets to UFO

They are doing it second major patch in a row for japan ground. Japan in la royal was as effortless as now.

There was a patch where we got nothing, iirc. Around 2020/2021 I think. That, and the mid-rank copy paste patch were the worst.

We cant kill it even closer LOL (unless you are taking Type 87 with Type 93 or only type 87, cause type 93 cant lock Ka-52)

We need SPAAs but it’s still a good addition. We are essentially getting a better Type 90 (except for acceleration) at 10.3. Regardless of some issues with Type 10s armor it is still better then Type 90. At 10.3 it’s armor might actually be somewhat good. The big issue is the lack of a lineup but at that point you might as well bring the other light vehicles in the line up like Type 16/89/87 etc.

But that is still no excuse for no new sam yet that we desperately need.

Purely technically, this does not require a new air defense system, it would be temporarily enough to just fix the Type 87 and Type 93, at least not at the maximum launch distances of the Vikhr. However, even this, which required literally fixing a few numbers, was not fixed.

hench what i said. ka-52/any other heli beyond 4km, you can’t lock any of them. i think the closest heli i killed more or less 1km, by locking it and tries to align the missile directly to the heli instead of the missile it self trying turn to the heli.

No, no, i mean, you cant lock Ka-52 at type 93 at all. Like, at any range. Never

i did once, and somehow killed it. either it have a dead zone or the server laggy as hell it didn’t work

There was a “bug” for some time when you could lock on ka-52 between lock resets, it got fixed in a month
Funny part DIRCM should not work on type91 at all

Honestly it makes so sense even why they didnt just lower the Type 90s BRs instead? Gaijin makes the stupidest decisions.

One way to improve the situation is to make Type 93 SAM a 20G missile unless proved otherwise, it’s from 1990’s afterall.

Change it from infra-red guidance to visual image homing like it should be (same as AGM-65 maverick)

I should be able to go into gunner view on Type 93 SAM like a jet does for locking it’s mavericks, and I should be able to visually lock on a helicopter with my Type 93 gunner view, only difference being in ground to air instead of air to ground when locking the maverick. The same exact visual homing guidance already implemented in the game.

Then the range should be 5-6km, FULL STOP

Then you can move Type 93 SAM even to 10.0 cuz it won’t give a damn about flares on helis or jets and will pull 20G’s until the MF’s finally get hit by it.

That would be great in particular being able to lock helis at max range

Like seriously, it’s got a huge camera on it so that it can visually lock onto targets at longer distances and offer a lock for the visual homing guided Type 91 missile.

Obviously at night this missile was crap because it would not be able to visually guide to its target in dark conditions hence why the infra red version called Type 91 Kai came later which also gave the Type 93 SAM a night time capability as well.

When you realise that gaijin hasn’t even done basic research before adding this missile to the game. Infra-Red missile doesn’t need a huge asss camera on top of a vehicle to be used…

A quick simple research would show its visual image homing guided

When I measured G-force by Type 91 from video, a very modest estimate was about 30-35G.
