The setup in the photos only allows 2x 250kg or 4x 60kg.
Any information on the muzzle velocity of the Type 99 SPH? i find it hard to believe that it fires the same rounds at the same velocity as the Type 75 SPH despite the barrel length being over a third longer.
The range on the sources say its capable of firing much further at least so why would the velocity be the same?
its not ready yet its supossed to get a new ammo i hope it gets type 03 tbh
it is currently an EXACT copy of the type 75 down to number of rounds, transmission, engine, weight ect, don’t expect thse to be final

Anyone happen to know what the Type99’s ammo load is? It’s gotten most of it’s stats updated from the SPH now, muzzle velocity, reload, weight, engine power, ect. But it still has the same exact ammo capacity which looks silly for something like twice as big (also traverse and elevation speed but that’s not a big issue). Looks like it’s just still WiP but could be good to know just in case.
it can use warcrime ammo aka Type 03 cluster ammo
Will Gaijin ever allow the Japanese Tanks to lock on targets on Type 90/16/10 according to their FCS capabilities? Not sure what other tanks have that ability but it would be helpful to allow such a thing. Just wondering since I don’t see anyone talking about it.
Challenger 2, M1A2, Leopard 2A6, Leclercs, Ariete, Merkava MK4 and CV90120 those are the ones ik so far
all of those tanks except for the merkava and maybe the cv90120 do not have the advanced fcs the type 10 has. most mbts only have leading for the guns so you can aim at the tank while the gun leads for you.
I mean just tracking the type 10 it’s quite unique having multi tracking and engaging capacities allowing it to both identify and classical the threat of the targets by levels allowing it to attack the most dangerous one first
From what I’ve read other tank lock is closer to what we have on something like puma against air targets
While type10 is closer to how radar SPAA can choose target by radar screen. Need to manually mark targets first tho
K2 blackpanther, K1E1, K1A2 has automatic tracking system too.
Tanks should be able to lock on to aircraft like IFVs. To be able to counter helicopters.
And in the future, I hope that modern vehicles will get helicopter-like sights.

K2 blackpanther uses an AI to catalogue threats it’s a bit diffferent and it’s much more advanced, since it can fire without a gunner of commander inside the turret
