True.
yeah i can see that, decompression is always good. BUTTT, alot of them are really pointless besides their IRCCM missiles (in airRB ofc), and its really only the harrier (i personally) have any heart attacks dealing with them but thats its own kettle of fish.
I am also guilty of enjoying the SU-39 and A10C a bit too much in the air to air role so perhaps im biased, but whenever playing ANYTHING else at the BR, these are NOT the problem planes (personally the R24R is way more annoying with its IOG and J band sometimes just NOT telling you they fired it)
Decompression would be good all around. As well as nerfing tons of jets that I am finding to overperform lol.
All jets should have the advantages and disadvantages of their IRL counterparts there is no need for a nonslatted phantom to turn better than an IRL slotted phantom.
it is funny to see some players who dont know how to deal with them
F-14s:
The F-14 doesn’t have nearly the same problem lol.
atleast the f14 engines are quite hot and have afterburners, so I wouldnt compare it to the harrier…
A10C is now just the same as the old 10.0 A10A, 9m+stealth belt, 5 mig23 streak a match
9M has different IRCCM.
On typical aircraft its flareable, however its nigh impossible on Harriers.
not even comparable in any way.
Both are aircraft with vastly overheated engines.
you can turn the reheat off on the tomcat, its like its always on with a harrier as all four thrust nozzles act like engine heat sources despite two being cold air only
Tomcat is also overperforming lol.
The the harrier is like tomcat engines X2
The harrier doesn’t even produce that much thrust relative to other stuff it meets, because even when hovering it still makes less than a Mig-23 going mach 1. I wonder if it has anything to do with how the flares shoot out, since they seem to go much lower and faster than other aircraft.
That’s what I was wondering too as the harriers single engine doesn’t make that much compared to twin jets going faster.
Maybe every nozzle makes that much thrust for the harriers
Didn’t gunjob disprove the theory that it’s heat signature is multiplied by 4 because of the 4 nozzles?
I’ve also noticed that the Yak-38 is incredibly hot, so it could be something with vtol aircraft in general.
Is the yak hot? It also doesn’t have flares though
that would mean theres something else more intentional going on
I’ve been able to lock it nearly headon using a Pl-2 from 1km away, and I’ve seen players claim front aspect locks are possible 1km away with Aim-9Js. However, I haven’t seen any hard proof or testing.
It’s issues are lesser because it’s not at a BR where IR missiles are super common.
