It has to be removed, imo. I know JAS39 has an amazing ability to manoeuvre, but now BR13.0 is filled with various types of FOX3 and very powerful FOX1 like R27ER. However, JAS39A only has AIM7E2, which is not even decent in 11.3 fight. The other jets like F14 or Su27/30 can launch FOX3 at it and then defend without any worries, bc AIM7E2 only works within 10 or even 5 km. Making it 12.3 or 12.7 might be a solution, but it wouldn’t be a fair fight for 11.0-12.0 jets. So removing it can be a good call.

Decompressing BRs is what people need to ask for. Not moving jets up and down to screw them or make them OP

Flankers great 16 vs 16 but fails if you get them in a dogfight. 2 loops and they float like a paper bag in the wind

First, please read the post again. I said it’s the worst choice to solve the problem of JAS39A. Second, do you really think 4* AIM7e2 can make a big difference around 12.0? Anyway 13.0 is totally a BR too high for JAS39A
the issue isn’t the missile kit.
it’s the fact you’re asking to put a vehicle that has both the 3rd best flight model in the game and one of the best defensive setups in the game (even for 14.7) at 12.0
against a phantom or MiG-21
The gripen’s defensive setup + fm combo is so powerful, that a good gripen player can just decide not to die even when launched at by 3 people
Lemme explain my opinion again. It is true that Grippen can be a powerful thing if you use it carefully, but the fact is it requires a very thorough plan for multipathing, flanking and the timing to engage, while most of the 13.0 jets can launch Fox3 long before they enter the range of Grippen to fight effectively.
