those 13.0 jets have either:
the gripen can win a 1v1 fight against any of them easily bar flanker/F-2 with two skilled players in both cockpits.
Flanker being the most difficult for it to engage in a missile fight while F-2 is slightly better in the missile department and superior in the dogfight
I’m not asking, god, i was just talking about one of many possibilities and that was the easiest but the worst one. And it’s like the situation Maus was facing before, too weak for uptier but too op for down tier. F4 ICE is like an egg with a hammer, while Grippen is like a turtle with a toothpick.
Whilst it is in need of some TLC, like fixing BOL. Its one of the stronger 13.0s. What is really needed is decompression

The issue with the game at 13.0 is compression (Su-30MKK and Mk2 say hello), not the gripen itself.
Sure, it isn’t the best aircraft at 13.0
but it is far from the worst.
definitely not deserving of getting put at a lower br, it is simply too strong for that
I believe dogfight is really rare in this BR. I myself won a dogfight against 4 other jets in a Grippen A but it only happens like once in 2 months. Plus what if the others choose not to engage a dogfight? The firing range of Grippen (or aim7e2/aim9m) is the most critical issue here
No, not really. The issue is the total missile count.
That forces you to be efficient with your launches, lowering your potential for high kill games.
That does not make it 12.7 worthy

Well…people have to grind another Grippen with it I guess. I’m now in 13.7 of Swedish Air tech tree and I feel most of the swedish planes are WEIRD. Like they’re all good in general but all have some weird problems to make you suffer a lot
Maybe you’re right. I just feel playing Grippen A costs way much more of my brain cells than other jets in the similar BR.

Imagine you are playing 12.3 F-16, get THE SLIGHTEST of uptiers and have to face this.
I said that’s the worst but the easiest solution for Gaijin if they wanted to fix Grippen A
