Did some testing in a custom match against just some bots and such and- it doesn’t feel like the AIM-120/AAM-4 have much difference between them overall now, though it feels like technically the AAM-4 does have a slight edge in firefights past 25km’s, it doesn’t feel like either pulls much harder than the other at least in the quick run I did in a custom match

It’s not big difference. But in a situation where enemy is flying at very hight closure speed to you, but you are flying not at him, you can fire AAM-4 in off bore shot and then proceed to turn to notch easily, since AAM-4 has the fins to pull a lot to kill the enemy while you are in a notch and you defeat his missile.

It can’t be used from F-4EJ Kai because of missing GPS navigation

I mean… it doesnt have gps navigation as far as i know. But find some info on it and submit it to the bugs website.

No it is old turret from Type 89. The main changes is new hull with Type 16’s engine. Probably inside electronic is new also but no info
But looks like project was frozen because there is no any news. For example at the same time first CTWV was spotted in trials and now it was adopted as Type 24.
