Japanese top tier MBT need a rebalance

So your argument is that the type 90 doesn’t have very good mobility because it only has slightly better overall mobility than another tank which also has good mobility?

You realize that a tank can be good or do fine while also not being the best or MID right? You know there are several shades of gray, on tanks not everything in between the extremes are MID

holy cope what’s bad + good then use 1 word to describe the type90

That is good.

what’s good in war thunder elaborate

i have a decent amount of games in my type 90’s so my predicament is they get 10/10 uptiers theres literally 0 downtiers games i’ve gotten for a while… 11.7 isnt a bad bracket for them it’s just the uptiers. In 11.3 they got nice amount downtiers.

A tank that performs well above average, the k/s and k/p certanly shows this, a vehicle that performs around this average is what a mid vehicle would represent.

will above average is the best the top 5 type 10 is far from it type 10 is not best not worst so its mid right in the middle yk just like most tanks the very worst and this might be a hot take are the Russian tanks currently I can prove that the very best are Greek , Italy and USA along with France

leaving Japan top tier ground mid

Thats not above the average those are the best vehicles…

It absolutely infuriates me when a difference that falls within the margin of statistical error is presented as a huge advantage.

Combat vehicles that are inferior to the Type 90 in mobility surpass it in a number of other parameters: ammunition quality, armor protection and survivability, as well as aiming speed.

In essence, the Type 90 is a Leopard 2A4 equipped with DM33 ammunition and an autoloader with a 4-second cycle. This enhanced combat effectiveness comes at the cost of reduced survivability, slower aiming speeds, and weaker armor (particularly around the lower glacis, turret ring, and turret sides).
Aiming ergonomics must also be considered: in this regard, the Type 90 is less user-friendly for the crew due to limited gun depression and elevation angles. Utilizing the suspension’s capabilities requires a more thoughtful approach to gameplay than simply adjusting the gun’s pitch, as is done with the Leopard 2.

Thus, if balancing were based on technical specifications rather than statistics, the Type 90 would firmly belong at the 11.3 level, and the Type 10 at 12.0.

average is 100 lets say best is 300 and worst is 50 are best above the average?

Sure, but so does 150 or 250, and they are not in the “best”, you literally the claimed that above average would only entail the 300, “above average is the best top 5”.

Matchmaking issues should not affect a vehicle’s Battle Rating. The Type 90 performed exceptionally well at BR 11.3, partly because it frequently found itself at the top of the matchmaking list. Place any other vehicle in the same conditions, and it would demonstrate similar performance.

that’s called being mid there is not good in war thunder there is great ,mid and trash because of the hundreds of vehicles type90 can face and it being worse than a lot of the popular ones and worse than the best better than the worst its mid call it “good” call it “okay” but at the end of the day its still not the best not the worse so its MID

it literally isnt.

Honestly, it would be easier if Gaijin completely got rid of .3 and .7.
Instead, do .2, .4, .6 and .8. Decimals of 2.
This would allow vehicles to be decompressed while also giving options for what is more likely. .2->downtiers more likely. .4 → less likely but possible. .6 → less likely, and .8 → likely uptiers. Never understood the need to do odd numbers. When it self-sabotages.

This just sounds like decompression but with extra unnecessary steps.

Nevermind the fact this involves reworking an entire system, thousands of vehicles’ ratings and the matchmaker to accommodate a change that can be easily solved by adding more BRs and decompression, which would change hundreds of vehicles ratings but be less of a drastic change than changing the BR System altogether.

This also would make no sense, an uptier is generally facing enemies 1.0 higher than you, a downtier is generally facing enemies 1.0 below you. x.8 isn’t “likely uptier” as the uptier would just be (x+1).8. Ignoring playercount at certain ratings, .2 would have the same chances of an uptier or downtier as as .4,.6,.8 etc.

I play my Chally 1 Mk3 at 11.7 now because of what happened to Type 90.
Less mobile Type 90 almost got me a nuke. ;)

GxneralEagle is a bit special, I respect that you even argued with him this far.
